When you are a company that is as small as ROH, you tend to lose the stars you create to promotions that are actually aired nationally. That appears to be the case with ACH, whose real name is Albert Hardie. WWE is said to be highly interested in signing him once his current contract expires. While the 27 year old has yet to make a statement about this publicly, the belief is that he is more than willing to make the jump to the big leagues.

Briscoes to WWE

For quite some time now, rumors about the Briscoes signing with WWE have been floating around. The speculations are flying high once again. Reports have surfaced that the company has renewed their interest in signing Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe to a contract. The former is actually the current ROH Heavyweight Champion, so that would be quite a boost to the roster. Despite their talents, the brothers would still have to go through NXT.

Maria Kanellis to NXT

Despite already having a good amount of experience wrestling on the main roster in WWE, Maria Kanellis recently revealed that she would more be more than enthusiastic to sign a deal and work in NXT. The brand is receiving universal praise for allow the female performers the opportunity to showcase their skills, something that AJ Lee has publicly complained about. Maria is currently with ROH, but the promotion cannot afford a long term contract.

WWE signing Samoa Joe

In a move that many thought would be impossible, it now appears that WWE will be signing Samoa Joe to a contract very soon. Reports have surfaced that the two sides have come to an agreement on terms. The belief is that the deal will not take place before April, as Joe has already committed to working matches for ROH in the month of March. Despite being a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Joe will be going through developmental still.

ROH champion Samoa Joe

As some of you may already know, Samoa Joe showed up at the ROH anniversary show that took place in Las Vegas last night. He addressed the audience, which gave him a rather warm reception, and informed them that he will be gunning for the heavyweight championship. Since he is only signed for four shows and Ring of Honor is unlikely to be able to afford to give him a long term contract, Joe is unlikely to be given the championship.

Trent Baretta to ROH

Next Sunday night, EVOLVE 38 will take place, and one of the more noteworthy things stemming from the show is the fact that a performer is being pulled from the card. Trent Baretta has already informed the fans that he will no longer be working the show. The reason for that is because the former WWE star has signed a contract with ROH. Baretta is scheduled to start for the promotion very soon, and he is expected to form a tag team with Rocky Romero.

ROH financial problems

Since ROH has managed to bring in Alberto Del Rio and Samoa Joe, a lot of fans are under the assumption that their financial issues are over. That is not the case whatsoever. The company was able to sign those guys because they are short term contracts. While it does cost a pretty penny to get big name guys under contract, Ring of Honor is willing to take the risk to bring in revenue. It is being said that long term deals were never discussed.

The belief is that the real life couple is interested in the deal on a short term basis, as they have other options available in the United States.

Reports have surfaced that Maria Kanellis and Mike Bennett are working in ROH without a contract. Their deals expired, and they are sticking around on a handshake agreement. The belief is that the couple will start negotiating with TNA very soon, as negotiations with Ring of Honor have not come to fruition just yet. Plus, the real life married couple is hoping to gain a bit more exposure, which Impact Wrestling can provide since it is a national show.
