Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens at Battleground

Earlier today, we reported that Kevin Owens had signed a new contract with WWE that will enable him to move to the main roster immediately. Well, it looks like the front office has acted really quick on things. They have already began promoting his appearance at the upcoming Battleground pay per view in July. There is no word yet on who he will be working a match with that night, but chances are pretty good that he will be on the main card.

When he recently showed up on Monday Night Raw, many were under the assumption that this was just a cameo stint for Kevin Owens. However, news has now surfaced that it is going to be a permanent thing. The heavyweight champion has apparently been informed by the front office that he will be moving to the main roster. A new contract has reportedly been signed. Owens will still make NXT appearances to close up any loose ends first.

Stevie Ray

WWE signs Stevie Ray

It looks like WWE has finally decided to sign the other half of Harlem Heat. However, do not expect Stevie Ray to be donning the wrestling gear anytime soon. He announced that he has now signed a legends contract. That means that the company can use his likeness while also booking Stevie for a couple of appearances a year. The belief is that this might lead to a DVD or other merchandise for the former world tag team champions.

Bram

TNA signs Bram

It appears that TNA is quite pleased with the development of Bram, as the company announced today that they have signed him to a contract extension. Terms of the deal were not released, but the belief is that he will be with the promotion for at least another year. At just 28 years of age, management feels that they can keep developing the man legally known as Thomas Latimer and turn him into an upper level guy some day.

Joe Koff

Ring of Honor on Destination America

There appears to be a chance that ROH might not be on Destination America for a very long period of time. The latest news from this developmental is that Joe Koff was only given a six month contract from the channel. Network executives are only doing this on a trial basis because they are unsure if Ring of Honor is good enough of a brand to draw in advertisers and sponsors. The promotion is more valuable to fans than it is to other businesses.

Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe on ROH TV

Even though he is signed to a contract with WWE now, Samoa Joe is scheduled to make a return to ROH and work a television taping. Of course, that deal has now been complicated because Ring of Honor has now been picked up by Destination America, which means that the promotion can now be seen in every state. World Wrestling Entertainment generally has a policy against performers being used on TV elsewhere.

Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe WWE contract

Developmental wrestlers in WWE generally do not get paid a lot of money, and that was one of the things that caused Samoa Joe to be hesitant about signing a contract with the company. In order to get the deal done, management opted to give him a contract that might help them secure more of the top performers on the independent scene. Joe is being allowed to work for other promotions, provided that he does not appear on television.

Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff suing TNA

Apparently, there have been some legal issues between TNA and the production company that Eric Bischoff owns. The latter filed a lawsuit on May 15, 2015 that states that the former did not make good on a contract that the two sides signed. Bischoff is claiming that the company owes he and his partner $114,000, even though they did not do production work for the promotion during that three month span. Lawyers will need to sort out the verbiage.

Tammy Sytch

Vivid signing Sunny

Even though she took to social media to deny the rumors, TMZ is reporting that Tammy Sytch is very close to signing a huge contract with Vivid. Reports are stating that the deal is worth six figures. The company is willing to pay her a good amount of money because they were able to generate a good amount of profit from the Chyna videos. It is also being said that Tammy is ready to film her first porn video as soon as the contract is signed.
