IC title stolen

For those of you that have not been attending live events lately, WWE is routinely running the angle where the Intercontinental Championship keeps getting stolen by the performers who will compete for the belt in a ladder match at Wrestlemania. Cody Rhodes worked a match against Goldust in Erie on Saturday. While that was going on, Dolph Ziggler ran out from the backstage area and stole the title. Story will continue on Monday Night Raw.

Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania

It looks like the big rematch between the brothers might not happen at Wrestlemania after all. WWE changed up the script again, and it looks like Cody Rhodes will be in the ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship instead. Goldust has yet to be added, but there is a good chance that he will be because he teased a title chase on social media earlier in the week. Time constraint could be a possible reason for erasing the rematch.

Goldust retirement match

Those of you that have been keeping up closely with the feud between the two brothers, a rematch at Wrestlemania between Cody Rhodes and Goldust is currently in the works. There are now talks that a special stipulation could be added to bring even further interest from the audience. Rumors are stating that WWE could have this become a retirement match. While he has denied it publicly, the older Rhodes brother is expected to retire.

Goldust retirement

Reports surfaced not too long ago that Goldust was heading towards retirement, with some stating that it could take place shortly after Wrestlemania. The veteran performer took to social media to deny the speculations and stated that he was not retiring just yet. All signs, however, are pointing to it being true. WWE has already started the story line where he and Cody Rhodes are slowly starting to break up. A retirement match between the two is possible.

Goldust retiring

For those of you who are nostalgic and sentimental, it has now come time for us to truly appreciate the in ring work and the character of Goldust, as the performer is wrapping up his career as an active performer. According to reports, he should be done with that aspect of his career around Wrestlemania. He will then transition into a full time backstage agent and producer for WWE. Cody Rhodes is expected to go back to being solo.
