CM Punk

"I really want to get past that stage in my life. I'm trying to put that part of my life behind me. I want to produce and direct. I want to work behind the scenes. Let the guys like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, The Shield do it and get to that next level. It's not about me anymore. I understand that first and foremost. Don't try to fool myself that I can still hang with these guys because they can run circles around me. Over a period of time anyway, I can hold my own for one night. It's about these guys and the young guys. It's about WWE and the superstars and looking at WrestleMania, looking at it 15 years from now. Who is going to be that big superstar? What superstars will be created in that time? The evolution of life goes and goes and never stops. You have to be prepared for that. Thank God I have been preparing that for many years."

The belief is that it was done to drum up support for the former world heavyweight champion.

Alberto Del Rio
There are rumors floating around that Rey Mysterio might be working a retirement match at Wrestlemania 30, as his contract with WWE is ending in a few months. February 21, 2014
Christian
There are rumors floating around right now that Christian could retire after Elimination Chamber 2014. Some believe that WWE could use his real life retirement to sell the brutality of the steel cage match itself. The company has been planting seeds over the last few weeks by emphasizing the "one last match" theme with Christian.

Jim Ross
During his interview with Jim Ross on his new podcast, Steve Austin talked about his own retirement from professional wrestling. Jim Ross
Jim Ross kicked off his new podcast series, and he had his good friend Steve Austin as the guest. The two longtime WWE stars discussed the Undertaker and his upcoming retirement. Alberto Del Rio

"And I really wish Edge were still here. It killed me when I was out injured and he ended up having that final match with Alberto Del Rio. He was there while I was with the Nexus and he was just such a joy to be around. He's a good human being and just knew so much. He was always helping. Its guys like that that I wish were around still."

January 21, 2014
Mark Henry

"I'm a performer at heart and want to have the best performance. You just find a place in your mind where there's a trigger and you can go from being happy to emotional in a heartbeat if you're there and I was mentally there. I had so many people call about that. Arsenio Hall, Big Show and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin [reached out]. Austin said he smelled a rat. I was like, 'If you smelled a rat, it's in your house.' Nobody saw that coming. He was like, 'I've been around too long kid. I could smell a rat in a woodpile.'"

January 19, 2014
Dolph Ziggler

With WWE having to take a stronger stance on concussions over the last few years, Dolph Ziggler might be forced to call it a career soon. The former world champion is being sent by the company to a specialist in Pittsburgh to see if he should retire from wrestling.

December 19, 2013
Daniel Bryan
With CM Punk not being on television for a couple of months now, his merchandise sales have been slumping a bit. That has enabled Daniel Bryan to move to the second spot on the list of WWE stars who move the most units. Management wants to try to close the gap between Bryan and John Cena, who sits at the top spot by a considerable margin.
April 24, 2014
AJ Lee
AJ Lee has been off the road with WWE for a couple of weeks now, which has naturally caused her fans to wonder about her return date. As of right now, that is unclear, as the company is not rushing her to come back. The hope is that it might ease the tension between CM Punk and WWE. While many feel that he is done with the company, some still believe that he can be convinced to return.
April 24, 2014
CM Punk
After dropping the belt to Paige the night after Wrestlemania 30, AJ Lee was given some time off, presumably to rest up and move to Chicago to be with boyfriend, former WWE star CM Punk. Rumors are floating around that AJ will be returning to the company in May, as she has been advertised for the European tour. She is also advertised for events in June.
April 23, 2014
John Cena
Even though he has not been with the company for quite a few weeks now, CM Punk is still receiving paychecks from WWE. He still ranks among the top merchandise movers in the entire company, with some reports stating that he only trails John Cena in that category. Punk is still under contract to WWE, so management is still paying him his royalties.
April 18, 2014
CM Punk
One of the biggest reasons why WWE opted to put the Divas championship on Paige is because AJ Lee really needed to take some time off from the road. Aside from being stuck in the figurative storm after CM Punk walked out on the company, AJ has been on the road constantly over the last year. Both her body and mind needed the break.
April 16, 2014
CM Punk
While the widespread assumption is that CM Punk has been avoiding everyone in WWE since walking out on the company, it looks like he has been keeping up with Rey Mysterio. The masked superstar revealed on Instagram that the two of them still maintain communication. Mysterio also revealed that Punk sent him a custom made shirt this week.
April 15, 2014
CM Punk
Colin Cowherd, a host on ESPN, bashed CM Punk on his radio show this week. He was critical of the former WWE star for remarks that he made on Twitter about Ultimate Warrior's death not being a result of drugs. Unfortunately, though, Cowherd was not aware that Punk has not been active on social media since leaving WWE. He was actually responding to a parody account.
April 12, 2014
Rey Mysterio
WWE has now decided to put the Undertaker into the upcoming Flintstones movie. The belief is that he was added to help alleviate the loss of CM Punk, whose role in the film has been replaced by Rey Mysterio. WWE still plans on having a working relationship with Undertaker, even if he decides to retire after his Wrestlemania 30 match against Brock Lesnar.
April 10, 2014
Rey Mysterio
Since he walked away from the company, CM Punk has now been removed from the upcoming Flintstones movie. To make it easier on the script writers, WWE has decided to replace him with Rey Mysterio, which should make it fairly easy for them to adapt the story line. The belief backstage is that Punk is going to just wait until his contract expires this summer.
April 10, 2014
CM Punk
In a move that many people had been expecting for quite some time now, Bo Dallas has been called back up to the main roster by WWE. His last stint was rather uneventful, and he was sent back down to developmental. Dallas was the WWE NXT guy that CM Punk was heavily pushing to management before he walked out of the company a few weeks back.
April 9, 2014
CM Punk
Since there were a million rumors about him being at the pay per view on Sunday night, a lot of fans were disappointed when CM Punk did not show up at Wrestlemania 30. Word has it that the former world heavyweight champion was sitting in the front row of an NHL game in Chicago on Sunday. His return to WWE appears less and less likely by the day.
April 7, 2014
CM Punk
While there has been a ton of rumors about him being in New Orleans for Wrestlemania 30 weekend, CM Punk is actually not even in the state. The former world heavyweight champion was actually in a Chicago suburb on Friday night. He was in attendance for an Against Me! concert. Many were expecting him to return to WWE on Sunday night.
April 5, 2014
Steve Austin
"I could get more out of that guy than anybody else walking Planet Earth. He could have that ultimate 'Come to Jesus' meeting with me. Punk's been around for a long time and he's a smart guy, but he never stepped into a damn squared circle with the intensity of a guy like Stone Cold Steve Austin." - Steve Austin discusses potential match with CM Punk at Wrestlemania 31
April 5, 2014
CM Punk
The hot rumor heading into this weekend is that CM Punk will be at Wrestlemania 30. First, Steve Austin made the prediction that the former world heavyweight champion will be at the pay per view. Now, Diamond Dallas Page is doing the same in an interview with Wrestle Talk TV. Both Austin and DDP have connections backstage, so there might be some merit to their predictions on Punk.
April 4, 2014
CM Punk
Since there are rumors swirling around that the former world heavyweight champion is in New Orleans this weekend, there is a sports book that is taking bets on whether or not CM Punk makes his return at Wrestlemania 30. This is not sanctioned by Betfair Sportsbook and not by WWE. The odds are against Punk returning this weekend.
April 3, 2014
CM Punk
"I don't know why he quit and what the situation was about, but I was really looking forward to meeting the man and getting to know him. As far as me, I have a personal opinion on it and I would love for him to come back. If he needs time off whether it was business or personal, it's none of my business. Whatever it was, he was such a great superstar and I would love for him to come back." - Hulk Hogan wants a CM Punk return in WWE
April 3, 2014
CM Punk
At one point in time, he was rumored to be working a high profile match at this pay per view against CM Punk, but it looks like WWE will have to settle for just a cameo appearance by Steve Austin at Wrestlemania 30. The rumors are that some sort of agreement has been made, and Austin will be involved in some shape or form during the main show.
April 3, 2014
Steve Austin
"I'm telling you, I'm going to stick to my prediction that CM Punk is going to make his return at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans. I made this prediction two months ago here on the show. It's been a long time, I think he's cooled his jets, he's got some rest, and I think it's time to get back to work. I don't see him participating in a match but it would be great to see him in a run-in to establish himself, to entrench himself immediately in a memorable and just a great moment, and I would say plant himself firmly in the middle of an angle, because he would be the angle, by attacking whoever he sees fit to attack or asserting his presence rather, whatever the case may be. But I see CM Punk coming back at WrestleMania 30. Who knows if it will happen. We will know in about six short days when WrestleMania actually happens." - Steve Austin predicting that CM Punk will return this weekend
April 2, 2014
Vince McMahon
Some further details have been revealed about CM Punk leaving WWE. On the night that it happened, a meeting took place at Monday Night Raw. According to Paul Heyman, the only people within the room were Punk, Vince McMahon and Triple H. Heyman also stated that none of the three have talked about the incident with anyone else in the company.
April 2, 2014
CM Punk
Earlier this week, rumors sprung up about the two of them being engaged, and now speculation has picked up even more steam, as it is being said that AJ Lee will be moving to Chicago to be closer to CM Punk, who caused quite a scene this year by walking away from WWE. No actual confirmation on the engagement has been made yet, though.
