Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon on CM Punk

While accepting a hall of fame induction in Chicago, Vince McMahon was asked if WWE would ever bring Wrestlemania back to the city. Ever the public relations master, McMahon stated that the idea has not been ruled out. He noted that the company has no qualms with doing the pay per view in a colder environment, citing the latest one in New York as an example. When asked if he was tired of the CM Punk chants, McMahon wisely said he was not.

Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley on CM Punk

When asked about CM Punk, Bobby Lashley had some interesting things to say. First and foremost, Lashley is quite supportive of Punk in his quest to fight in UFC. However, Lashley stated that he wished Punk had done a match outside of the promotion first. The belief is that Punk opted to sign immediately with Dana White because an outside loss would reduce his value to the promotion tremendously. A contract might not have been offered.

Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe not signing

There are now rumors floating around that Samoa Joe might end up choosing to not sign with WWE after all. The speculations have been fueled by the fact that he has repeatedly stated that CM Punk wants to work another match with him. Since Punk is highly unlikely to ever return to the promotion, the match would have to take place elsewhere. It is also very odd for Joe to keep bringing this up since Punk is so focused on a UFC career.

AJ Lee doing interview

As soon as it was announced that she was retiring from WWE, speculations began that AJ Lee would some day do an interview where she revealed exactly what caused her to walk away from the company and her lifelong dream. There are rumors that she has already received a couple of offers to do the shoot interview, but as of right now, she has no interest in doing that because it would cause a bit of a distraction to CM Punk and his training.

One of the more interesting things that were revealed by CM Punk during his convention appearance over the weekend was the fact that he has already auditioned for a role in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Punk wants to add movie star to his resume that already includes professional wrestler, mixed martial arts fighter and comic book writer.

CM Punk fighting in Chicago

Many fans automatically assumed that the UFC debut match for CM Punk would take place when the promotion does a pay per view in his hometown of Chicago. It makes all the marketing sense in the world to do that because the audience would more than likely be hot for the former world heavyweight champion. However, during an interview, Punk stated that it was unlikely to happen because the pressure would simply be too much to handle.

AJ Lee having baby

For whatever reasons, the internet wrestling community has long speculated that AJ Lee was pregnant. The speculation heated up even more once she shocked the world by retiring from WWE earlier this month. CM Punk was asked about that rumor during a convention this weekend, and he flat out denied that they were going to be having a baby. His focus right now is on training for his first UFC fight, so starting a family has to wait.

CM Punk writing Punisher

Earlier in the year, CM Punk achieved one of his lifelong goals by writing an official Thor comic book and having it published to the world. Well, apparently, Marvel was pretty impressed with his abilities because they have decided to let him write a story for another famous comic book superhero. Punk is expected to be announced as the new writer for the Punisher at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo event on Sunday.
