CM Punk in Ninja Turtles

One of the more interesting things that were revealed by CM Punk during his convention appearance over the weekend was the fact that he has already auditioned for a role in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. He refused to reveal which character he was trying out for, however. Punk wants to add movie star to his resume that already includes professional wrestler, mixed martial arts fighter and comic book writer.

CM Punk new comic

Rumors broke over the weekend that CM Punk was going to be writing a new comic book on the Punisher. It turned out to be another character instead, even though Punk did admit that he really wanted to write one for the Punisher. The former world heavyweight champion revealed that the character that Marvel gave him was Drax the Destroyer, which interestingly enough is portrayed by Batista in Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

CM Punk writing Thor

USA Today was given a brief preview of the new Thor comic book that CM Punk is writing. The story involves Mephisto coming back in time and having a drinking contest with the hammer wielding superhero. Other aspects of the story revealed were that Thor was being irresponsible and having way too much fun being the god of thunder. Punk will more than likely show how the character matures before becoming a member of the Avengers.

Jericho turns down WWE movie

During his much talked about podcast interview with Colt Cabana, CM Punk revealed that he was up for the lead role of 12 Rounds Reloaded, but Randy Orton got the part instead. Those were not the only two wrestlers that were being considered by WWE at the time. John Cena was the first choice, as management wanted him to reprise his character from the first movie. It has now also been discovered that Chris Jericho turned down the role as well.
