While doing an interview about his new MMA career, CM Punk was asked if he was intimidated by the thought of going from professional wrestling to UFC. That question irritated the former WWE star because he feels that it is insulting for people to assume that he does not know the difference between scripted performances and actual hand to hand combat. The interviewer tried to calmly diffuse the situation but failed to do so.

During a podcast interview with Chris Jericho, Big E Langston revealed that CM Punk saved his career with WWE. Langston was worried that he was going to be sent back down to NXT, but Punk went to management and specifically asked to work with him. The two of them had no previous allegiance backstage, so this was simply a case of Punk wanting to him a coworker out.

MMA legend Don Frye is quite the opinionated person, and he proved that once again when asked about CM Punk trying to pursue a career in UFC. He stated that it cheapened the sport because the company is going to hand pick opponents for Punk. Frye said that it was more of a reality television show as opposed to the combat sport that he once thrived in.

In a sign that he is committing even more of himself into his UFC career, it has now been revealed that CM Punk has moved to Milwaukee, so he can be that much closer to the training facilities. That has impressed a lot of people in the industry, including Dana White. For a while there, he was commuting on a daily to the city from his beloved hometown of Chicago.

There are now rumors floating around that Samoa Joe might end up choosing to not sign with WWE after all. The speculations have been fueled by the fact that he has repeatedly stated that CM Punk wants to work another match with him. Since Punk is highly unlikely to ever return to the promotion, the match would have to take place elsewhere. It is also very odd for Joe to keep bringing this up since Punk is so focused on a UFC career.

The longtime WWE diva was in attendance at Monday Night Raw. She was backstage with her wrestling gear and ready to go, but management opted against using her on television.

During an interview with MMA Junkie earlier today, CM Punk was asked which current WWE star would have the best chance at transitioning from a career in professional wrestling to a career in mixed martial arts. His response was Daniel Bryan. Punk stated that Bryan was the only guy in the company that regularly trains in kickboxing and Brazillian jiu-jitsu. Bryan has never publicly expressed serious interest in making the transition over to UFC.

You can expect the rumor mills to be churning very soon, as WWE is set to write AJ Lee off of television. That will lead to a lot of speculations that she will be leaving the company to help her husband, CM Punk, focus on his new career in UFC. In actuality, though, the move is being done because AJ is injured and needs the time off. A big injury angle could be taking place soon, in order to generate even more heat for Nikki Bella and Brie Bella.

It did not take very long for CM Punk to move on from WWE. After months and months of speculation about a potential MMA career, it is finally happening for the former world heavyweight champion. UFC has announced that Punk has been signed to a contract to fight in 2015. No word yet on who his first opponent will be, but the company has already stated that it will be someone with similar experience.
