While much of the internet wrestling community is still emotional about the way that CM Punk walked out on WWE, Bret Hart has a different opinion. He completely agrees with how Punk did it. In fact, Hart seemed extremely proud of the former world heavyweight champion for doing that because he feels that Punk stood up for every performer backstage by willingly leaving in order to stand up for what he believes in.

During a podcast interview with Chris Jericho, Big E Langston revealed that CM Punk saved his career with WWE. Langston was worried that he was going to be sent back down to NXT, but Punk went to management and specifically asked to work with him. The two of them had no previous allegiance backstage, so this was simply a case of Punk wanting to him a coworker out.

During a recent interview, CM Punk revealed that Dusty Rhodes was not one of the people that he had backstage heat with in WWE. In fact, the former world heavyweight champion revealed that they actually had a really good relationship. Even when he left the company, Rhodes would still send personal text messages to him.

There is a little backstage heat going on right now between Hulk Hogan and CM Punk, and it has nothing to do with professional wrestling. The two have exchanged some words due to comments that Hogan made about the Chicago Blackhawks, the hockey team that Punk is fanatical about. The tension isn't really all that serious.

Back before he left WWE, CM Punk was praised by the internet wrestling community for being the guy backstage that provided the voice for the lower card performers. Darren Young confirmed that status during a recent interview. Young stated that when he first came out, Punk hugged him in front of everyone in catering and told him how proud he was. The former world heavyweight champion also told Young that he had his back against critics.

Another interesting backstage story in WWE has been told by Court Bauer, a former writer for the company. He stated that management purposely made it where CM Punk could never sell more merchandise than John Cena. Whenever the number for Punk merchandise would rise, the company would then produce more products for Cena. They also shipped out a lot more Cena merchandise to the live events to make sure Punk did not beat him.

While he is steadfastly denying the rumors about him burying CM Punk in front of management during his tryout with WWE, Shawn Michaels did confess that he did not like the new UFC star. Michaels also revealed that the reason why he and Punk did not get along backstage is because the latter had a really bad attitude, which is something that many others have said about his backstage demeanor many times throughout the years.

However, another name has surfaced within that group. It is being said that Arn Anderson was another person that was against Punk. The legendary Four Horsemen member has had backstage heat with Punk a couple of times.

Shawn Michaels denies rumors

Reports surfaced earlier this month about former WWE writer Court Bauer revealing that Shawn Michaels and Triple H were the ones that buried CM Punk when he was doing tryouts with the company. During an interview with TapouT Radio, Michaels was asked about the allegations. He strongly denied that it happened. Michaels stated that he was one of Punk's biggest supporters backstage. He even went as far as to say that he didn't know who the writer was.

A former WWE writer has revealed a new wrinkle in the backstage feud between Triple H and CM Punk. During a podcast interview, Court Bauer stated that when Punk was working a tryout match for the company, HHH and Shawn Michaels were completely ripping him backstage. They joked harshly about his look and his performance in front of Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis, who was the head of talent relations at the time.
