While doing an interview about his new MMA career, CM Punk was asked if he was intimidated by the thought of going from professional wrestling to UFC. That question irritated the former WWE star because he feels that it is insulting for people to assume that he does not know the difference between scripted performances and actual hand to hand combat. The interviewer tried to calmly diffuse the situation but failed to do so.

Since his debut match is set to take place in the summer, CM Punk has started doing media rounds for UFC. During one of his interview sessions, the former WWE Heavyweight Champion revealed that he has signed on to do eight MMA fights for Ultimate Fighting Championship, which is a lot more than what many had predicted when he first announced his jump into mixed martial arts. Punk states he will do all eight fights.

According to UFC president Dana White, CM Punk is going to have a very rough time in MMA because he has no athletic credentials. White made that statement while talking about Micky Gall, the man that he has penciled in as the first opponent for Punk, a fight that is expected to take place in June. White stated that Brock Lesnar was a different case because he came from a massive amateur wrestling background.

Knowing that the choice could generate a ton of money for his promotion, Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White might have someone in mind. Mickey Gall is now the hot candidate. White feels that Punk is so much of a draw that it makes sense for his company to put additional resources into everything that he is involved with.

Through Penguin Random House, AJ Lee has signed a contract to write and release her autobiography. The former WWE Divas Champion will be spending much of 2016 writing down her memoirs. AJ spends much of her time supporting CM Punk in Wisconsin as he trains for his UFC debut. She also makes various appearances at comic and wrestling convention. The book is scheduled to be released in early 2017.

During a recent interview, Rey Mysterio said that he is looking forward to hearing when CM Punk is going to be making his debut in UFC. The former world heavyweight champion stated that he wanted to know so that he can make arrangements to be there in person to support his friend. Mysterio stated that it was not enough to simply purchase the pay per view and support Punk from home.

Back in 1990, Jesse Ventura sued Vince McMahon for royalties on the home videos that he appeared on. During a recent interview, someone brought up the point that the WWE Network has changed things up a bit, which prompted Ventura to mention that he was going to be contacting his lawyers to see if his quarterly checks need to be adjusted. This is similar to the complaints that CM Punk had before leaving the company.
