Initial plans for this past Monday Night Raw did not include a tournament to crown a new contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Management was originally expecting Christian to be able to come back and cash in his title shot. However, there were some bad news on the veteran performer, who has been recovering from yet another concussion, so WWE changed the plans.

Christian
Since the two of them have worked matches on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown over the last couple of weeks, WWE was concerned about putting Sheamus and Christian into a match at Wrestlemania 30, so there are now people backstage who are pushing for them to be added to the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal instead.

Christian
Despite the fans growing restless during his match against Christian on Monday Night Raw this week, Sheamus is still being pushed by WWE for a spot at Wrestlemania 30. Management noticed the boos that the former world heavyweight champion received when he started his backstage interview, but they feel that he can work past that.
March 7, 2014
Christian
As a sign of how WWE views their feud, Christian and Sheamus were removed from the Hulu version of Monday Night Raw this week. The belief is that management wanted to give the two veteran performers a spot at Wrestlemania 30, so they were paired together in a program. Fans in Chicago totally turned on the two during their match.

Christian
Rumors coming out of WWE was that management had initially planned on surprising the fans by having Brock Lesnar, who is not scheduled to return until Monday Night Raw, show up at Elimination Chamber 2014 and replacing Christian in the main event. However, those plans may have been scrapped because Kane accidentally leaked the story to the media.
February 23, 2014
Christian
Since he showed up on Monday Night Raw with a black eye, there were some minor speculations as to what happened to Christian. However, it appears that the blemish was simply a result of an accident that took place during a match at a WWE live event over the weekend. The former world champion is not expected to miss any time.

Christian
Rhyno became one of the many people who were left unemployed by the sad closing of ECW, but it did not take long before the former heavyweight champion found another gig. He was picked up by WWE, who was looking to add a ton of depth to their roster. Rhyno made his official debut for the company on Monday Night Raw, joining real life friends Edge and Christian.

Alexander Rusev
There are rumors floating around right now that Zeb Colter is going to be dropped from television and removed as the manager of Jack Swagger. Many are assuming that since WWE kept him off of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. Colter is said to be making a return soon and is only selling the kick from Alexander Rusev. Management still views him as an asset.
August 22, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
There are those that believe that WWE will be having Ric Flair managing Dolph Ziggler after all. Their interaction on Monday Night Raw might have been the seeds planted by the creative department. Apparently, Ziggler is not in the dog house with management any more. There's even talks that he might be elevated up the card into a feud with Randy Orton soon.
August 21, 2014
Dean Ambrose
There is a split backstage in WWE when it comes to viewing Dean Ambrose as a main event performer. A lot of people in management do not view the former Shield member as someone of that caliber. He also has his supporters, and that group has probably increased in size after his superb performances with Seth Rollins at Summerslam 2014 and Monday Night Raw.
August 21, 2014
Dean Ambrose
Expect to hear plenty of comparisons between Dean Ambrose and Steve Austin over the next couple of months. WWE is having the former Shield member take elements of the Austin character in an attempt to win over even more fans. While it was not shown on Monday Night Raw, the company is doing a story where Ambrose refused medical attention after being severely injured by Kane and Seth Rollins.
August 21, 2014
Antonio Cesaro
Since neither man was involved in a feud, it looks like WWE is about to pair Antonio Cesaro and Sheamus in a feud for the United States Heavyweight Championship. The story between the two might have been initiated during WWE Main Event. Management has been known to drop stories abruptly, so if this does not make it to Monday Night Raw or Smackdown, then the feud is not going forward.
August 20, 2014
Alexander Rusev
There was a little bit of confusion on Monday Night Raw. Fans were led to believe that Big Show and Mark Henry were forming a team, especially after they were given a victory over Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Later on in the evening, Henry came out and started what looked like a feud with Alexander Rusev. The reason for all this is because WWE was not sure what they wanted to do, and the scripts overlapped. The decision to do a feud between Henry and Rusev was a last minute thing.
August 20, 2014
Dean Ambrose
For those wondering about the final segment of Monday Night Raw this week, it was designed to write Dean Ambrose off of television. There were speculations that he was going to need time off to film a movie for WWE Studios, but the initial belief was that he would not need to miss television time. It now appears that the company is just going to take him off the road, so he can focus on filming.

August 18, 2014
Brock Lesnar
When Brock Lesnar interrupted the birthday celebration for Hulk Hogan on Monday Night Raw last week, he went off script a bit. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion said, "Party's over, grandpa." That was not a line fed to him by the WWE creative department. Reports are surfacing that Lesnar took that jab on his own or had help from Paul Heyman in coming up with that line.
August 18, 2014
Hulk Hogan
Since he did not fly home to Florida after the live WWE event last night, the belief is that Hulk Hogan will be making an appearance at Summerslam 2014 tonight. There is also a good chance that he will be making an appearance on Monday Night Raw tomorrow as well. WWE sent their private jet to northern California last night, so that the performers did not have to make the five hour drive down to Los Angeles.
August 17, 2014
Dean Ambrose
When it was announced that Dean Ambrose was going to be starring in an upcoming WWE Studios movie, the belief was that he was going to need to take some time off to film his part. A Twitter post from former WWE star Kevin Nash where he jokes about trying to do a Vulcan mind meld with Brock Lesnar to let him know that he is only back on Monday Night Raw for the beers and not looking for a fight.
August 14, 2014
Vickie Guerrero
Unless something drastic happens with her new career, do not expect Vickie Guerrero to be making a return to WWE anytime soon. However, the door has been left open by the company for that to take place in the future if she wishes to do so. Management surprised a lot of people by giving Guerrero a positive sendoff on Monday Night Raw, which solidified the belief that the company would welcome her with open arms again some day.
August 13, 2014
AJ Lee
Rumors are going around that Ashley Flair has moved to the front of the line for a promotion from developmental to the main roster in WWE. There are some roadblocks in her way, though. Total Divas is set to become a major focus again very soon, so the writers will put an emphasis on them when writing Monday Night Raw. Paul Orndorff is scheduled to make an appearance tonight.
August 11, 2014
Vince McMahon
The feeling backstage in WWE is that no one is safe now that Vince McMahon is desperate to cut the losses. That proved to be the case when the company released Eddie Feldman, who was the Senior Vice President of Creative. Other people in the department were released as well, which means that a lot of the segments on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown are going to become a bit more basic.

Kane
After 17 years of portraying the character, Kane might be receiving a new gimmick soon. Rumors have been floating around that he might be bringing the Jacob Goodnight character from the See No Evil movie series to WWE television. The belief is that management wanted to make it easier to promote the film. Some feel that the story line started when Kane handed over his mask to Stephanie McMahon on the last episode of Monday Night Raw.
August 7, 2014
Dean Ambrose
On Monday Night Raw, fans saw Rob Van Dam being pulled from a Beat the Clock match against Seth Rollins. He was replaced by Heath Slater, who got the surprising win, thanks to distractions from Dean Ambrose. It turns out that WWE did that because RVD is actually not cleared to wrestle. He is still recovering from an unknown injury. For what it's worth, it appears that he might be fine soon, as the former world heavyweight champion is scheduled to head to Australia for the tour.

April 5, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
While the company may be promoting the fact that anyone can win the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal at Wrestlemania 30, WWE officials really only have a small number of candidates for the role.
