Wade Barrett bad news

In case you're wondering, it has been a while since we've heard Wade Barrett cutting his "bad news" promos. The reason for that is because WWE officials instructed him to stop doing it. Management was concerned because the fans were actually cheering on the character and simultaneously saying the catchphrase with Barrett. Since he is supposed to be a heel, the front office wanted to ensure that he only received boos instead of cheers.

Rockstar Spud annoying

It appears that TNA had a well written plan all along for Rockstar Spud. They purposely made him an annoying character when he first made his debut in the company. The goal was to make fans have strong feelings towards him, even if some of it was negative. In professional wrestling, no heat is the worst heat. Fortunately, the front office opted to not do the drastic gimmick change because it would have totally changed his character. A change in the future is still a possibility.

Erick Rowan IQ

WWE was really hoping that they ha stumbled upon a good idea when they started promoting the fact that Erick Rowan had a high IQ. The hope was that it would help him connect more with the audience if they didn't think of him as just being a drone for Bray Wyatt. Unfortunately, though, that has done little for the character, as much of the audience remains lackadaisical towards Rowan. Management might need to tweak up his character more.
