Triple threat at Summerslam

As of right now, only the main event of Summerslam has been made official. Rumors are popping up that WWE is going to be doing a triple threat tag team match for the championship. New Day and Prime Time Players were already at odds. To change things up a bit, the front office will probably add Los Matadores into the match.

Those that watched Battleground last night got to see a good amount of apron moves, including a particularly impressive splash by Big E Langston during the tag team championship match. Apparently, WWE has been instructing their performers to do more of that. While more details are not available yet, there is a belief that it has something to do with ROH.

According to the sports books, Brock Lesnar is the favorite to beat Seth Rollins at Battleground. While that may be enough to get the internet wrestling community into a frenzy, a deeper look reveals that they are not as certain as they have been in the past. Lesnar could end up winning the match but not capturing the WWE championship.

Scratch one title match off of the Battleground card. Ryback has revealed that he will not be defending the Intercontinental Championship at the pay per view because he has been hospitalized. He discovered a staff infection on his knee on Tuesday morning and will be kept under supervision for several days. A replacement match has not been announced by WWE yet.
