The decision to have Sting challenging Seth Rollins for the WWE Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions was not a long term plan. It was made recently. The belief is that management made the decision after they decided to make the Network free this month. By having a big name legend in the main event, the front office is hoping that it will encourage fans to subscribe to their online video service.

On Monday Night Raw, we found out that Seth Rollins is going to be defending the WWE Heavyweight Championship against Sting at Night of Champions. Management still has not made an official statement on the status of the United States Heavyweight Championship yet, but the belief is that Rollins will be doing double duty at the pay per view. John Cena is a candidate to get a title rematch that night.

He stated that his uncle was pretty upset when WWE dropped him down the card after taking away the world heavyweight championship. When Beefcake was finally scheduled to win the belt at a Summerslam, he ended up suffering a horrible facial injury.

Some sad news to report. It has now been revealed that Pedro Morales has been suffering from Parkinson's disease. No word on how long he has had the condition. Morales is one of the biggest legends in the history of WWE. He confirmed that management informed him of their decision the night before. That means that the change of plans happened on the following day. WWE received some very good news last night when Sheamus showed up at the arena. The medical staff was able to clear him of a concussion. He had been having symptoms since the last episode of Monday Night Raw. That enabled the creative department to include him in the final segment with Randy Orton and Seth Rollins, which possibly sets up a world heavyweight championship match between the three at Summerslam.

There is a very good chance that John Cena might not heal quick enough to work Summerslam, so WWE has a couple of backup plans in place. The first one is simply to have Randy Orton challenging for the world heavyweight championship. If the front office does not feel that the match would be much of a draw, then there is a chance that they might add Sheamus and make it a triple threat.
