When you look at someone like Rockstar Spud, you don't normally expect him to be receiving a shot at the world heavyweight championship. Well, that is the opportunity that TNA is about to give him when they do a tour of his home country of England. Spud will be challenging Ethan Carter for the belt during that tour. A title change is not expected, but it should not be completely ruled out.

To take things up a notch, TNA has announced that they are creating a King of the Mountain Championship for the person that wins the match on Sunday. There are talks that Jeff Jarrett could be given the victory and the belt so that he can make it an inter promotional championship that will be defended on Impact Wrestling and at GFW live events.

During a recent interview, Angle confirmed it and thanked the network for being so supporting towards the company.

During an interview with the Mirror, Kurt Angle essentially confirmed it. He states that while he does not know all the specifics of the push, he does now that management wants to put the top belt on him before the year ends. Angle said that there is a possibility he might be the one to drop it to him.

To clear up all the speculation surrounding his return to TNA, Bully Ray took to the air to reveal that his appearance on Impact Wrestling was a one time thing. He stated that the front office called and told him that they needed a special guest referee for a world heavyweight championship match. Since he thought it would be fun, Bully opted to sign on for the episode. He stated that he and Devon still enjoy having independent status.

As expected, Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy were forced to vacate the tag team championship because the former has been left on his own as the latter is going to need several months to recover from a dirt bike injury. TNA has decided to have Bobby Roode and Austin Aries join the fray. The two of them will be facing Davey Richards and the returning Eddie Edwards in a best of five series to determine which team will hold the belts.

Management has been promoting the fact that a former world heavyweight championship would be making a comeback. However, these rumors have to be taken with a grain of salt, as Bully is being advertised to make appearances for a promotion in New Mexico on Friday and Saturday. Of course, they could have been canceled.

Considering how bad the injury is, Jeff Hardy underwent surgery today to repair a broken leg that was caused by a dirt bike accident. The situation has caused a bit of a headache for the creative department in TNA. He was one half of the tag team champions, so the stories will need to be modified. A decision has to be made on what to do with those championship belts. The belief is that Matt Hardy will be forced to vacate them.

The tag team division in TNA has faced some bad luck as of late. First, the Wolves were forced to drop the championship when Eddie Edwards suffered an injury that was going to keep him on the sidelines for six months. The new champions crowned were the massively popular Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. Now, they are going to have to find new titleholders because Jeff has suffered a broken leg during a dirt bike accident.
