A very big moment is happening in ROH. There is going to be an epic match between Jay Lethal and Jay Briscoe on June 19, 2015 in New York City. After a very long buildup to this moment, both the World Heavyweight Championship and World Television Championship will be on the line, with one man walking away as a double champion. Ring of Honor is banking big time on this pay per view being able to draw in new fans.

As good as NXT is, it appears that ROH is a better developmental program for WWE. All but two of their current male champions come from that promotion. Seth Rollins is the world champion. Daniel Bryan holds the Intercontinental Championship. Kevin Owens and Antonio Cesaro both hold titles. The only two guys that never worked for that promotion are Tyson Kidd and John Cena. The two divas champion never worked there.

During their first reign, the Bullet Club held the IWGP Tag Team Championship for an entire year. Their second reign wasn't nearly as successful. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were defeated by Matt Taven and Mike Bennett, who were accompanied by the lovely Maria Kanellis at Invasion Attack 2015 over the weekend. The ROH stars are making quite a name for themselves in New Japan and could opt to work more there than in the United States.

Chris Sabin made his surprise return to ROH recently, and he did it in a big way. In the main event of a television taping, Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels defeated reDRagon for the tag team championship. A masked man got involved in the action, and when the reveal took place, it turned out to be Sabin. The three former TNA stars have formed a new stable called KRD, which stands for Knights of the Rising Dawn.

Earlier in the week, Samoa Joe was spotted hanging out with other wrestlers at Walemania. It's not all fun and games, however. The former world heavyweight champion worked a match for ROH, where he challenged Jay Briscoe for their version of the heavyweight championship. Briscoe successfully retained, but that does not come as a surprise to those who believe that Joe will be signing up with the WWE developmental program soon.

A rather interesting thing took place at the ROH anniversary show on Sunday night. Jay Lethal cut a promo before defending the Television Championship against Alberto Del Rio. One of the things he said will probably not sit well with AJ Lee and CM Punk. Lethal stated that he was not someone that would take things that are handed down to him. He then pointed out that Punk was a guy that took a girl that he handed down.

As some of you may already know, Samoa Joe showed up at the ROH anniversary show that took place in Las Vegas last night. He addressed the audience, which gave him a rather warm reception, and informed them that he will be gunning for the heavyweight championship. Since he is only signed for four shows and Ring of Honor is unlikely to be able to afford to give him a long term contract, Joe is unlikely to be given the championship.

Next month, ROH is running a pay per view to celebrate their 13 years of being a company. Management is going big by bringing in the Bullet Club, one of the hottest acts in New Japan and the entire industry. AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson have all been signed for the show. All five heels won championship gold on the same night earlier this week and should be bringing the belts with them.

On March 1, ROH is throwing a big event to celebrate their 13 year anniversary at the Orleans Casino in Las Vegas. A big match has just been announced. Alberto Del Rio will be challenging Jay Lethal for the Ring of Honor television championship. It is being said that Lethal is one of the guys that Del Rio had on his list of performers that he hoped to work against while he was signed to the company. Lethal should retain the belt.

While it certainly is not as prestigious as holding the world heavyweight championship, ROH has decided to honor Jay Lethal by allowing him to break a couple of records. The former TNA star is now the longest reigning television champion in the history of the promotion. Lethal has defended the belt successfully a total of 22 times, which is also a record. No word yet if management has considered rewarding him with the big prize.
