The decision to have Sting challenging Seth Rollins for the WWE Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions was not a long term plan. It was made recently. The belief is that management made the decision after they decided to make the Network free this month. By having a big name legend in the main event, the front office is hoping that it will encourage fans to subscribe to their online video service.

On Monday Night Raw, we found out that Seth Rollins is going to be defending the WWE Heavyweight Championship against Sting at Night of Champions. Management still has not made an official statement on the status of the United States Heavyweight Championship yet, but the belief is that Rollins will be doing double duty at the pay per view. John Cena is a candidate to get a title rematch that night.

The fans were squarely behind Aiden English and Simon Gotch, who had surprised the audience by bringing out Blue Pants to counteract the threat of Alexa Bliss.

She claims otherwise. Sasha acknowledged that people have been predicting a title loss for her, but she denied it by saying that there are bigger plans in the works by WWE that fans are not privy to at the moment.

A possible reason for the speculation is that fans in attendance at the taping saw Owens carrying around the belt.
