Earlier in the year, there were rumors that Titus ONeil was going to be receiving a push from WWE. Reports surfaced that it was dropped because of the poor reaction that his match against Darren Young at Elimination Chamber 2014 received from the audience. It has been several months now, and it looks like the rumors were true. Since that pay per view, ONeil has only won two matches on television.

It appears that the WWE Network was launched at just the right time. Buyrates for Royal Rumble 2014 and Elimination Chamber 2014 suffered a considerable drop from the previous year. Vince McMahon no longer has to tout these numbers to his investors, though, because the company can state that the viewers have shifted over to the WWE Network.

After getting married to the lovely Maryse Ouellet in the Bahamas, the Miz opted to skip his honeymoon and head to Minnesota to work the kickoff show panel for Elimination Chamber 2014. It was a rather interesting move, as many felt that he could have been given the time off to celebrate his nuptials because of his limited role on the pay per view.

On Monday Night Raw, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso were given a victory over Road Dogg and Billy Gunn, in order to get some heat back after losing at Elimination Chamber 2014. Apparently, WWE does not feel that it is important enough to include in the Hulu broadcast of the show this week. Despite that, the Usos are still expected to be on the Wrestlemania 30 main card.

In a rather interesting bit of news, Kane revealed during an interview with an NBC affiliate this week that Brock Lesnar was indeed going to be at the Elimination Chamber 2014 pay per view. He was initially only scheduled to show up on the next episode of Monday Night Raw, but it looks like WWE has changed up their plans a bit.

WWE removed the match involving Big E Langston, Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal from the Hulu broadcast of Monday Night Raw this week. They also removed Jack Swagger and Kofi Kingston. That basically confirms that management views the Intercontinental Championship match at Elimination Chamber 2014 to be a filler segment.

In the story line, Eric Bischoff was the one that invented the Elimination Chamber match. However, in reality, though, it has now been revealed that Triple H was indeed the person backstage that came up with the idea. Bischoff acknowledged that through his Twitter account, and HHH stated it publicly in an interview for WWE.

It has also now been revealed that the match will take place at Elimination Chamber 2014.

It appears that the big moonsault from the top of the cage spot was a lot more painful than initially thought. Cody Rhodes posted an update on Twitter, where it appears that he has suffered a serious knee injury from the match. He is wearing a brace over his leg. No word yet on how long he will be out of action, but he was expected to work Elimination Chamber 2014.

Antonio Cesaro
As predicted by many, Randy Orton walked away from Elimination Chamber 2014 with the WWE Championship. Sheamus, Christian and Antonio Cesaro were the first eliminated. Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan helped to eliminate John Cena. Finally, Kane attacked Daniel Bryan, which enabled Orton to pick up the victory and earn his spot in the main event next month.

As expected, Batista defeated Alberto Del Rio in a grudge match at Elimination Chamber 2014. Del Rio attempted to trick Batista at the beginning of the match by coming out in crutches and a track suit. Pin fall ending came after Del Rio was nailed by an exposed turnbuckle and a Batista Bomb. Lot of crowd heat against Batista during the match.

Rumors coming out of WWE was that management had initially planned on surprising the fans by having Brock Lesnar, who is not scheduled to return until Monday Night Raw, show up at Elimination Chamber 2014 and replacing Christian in the main event. Some very bad news for Jake Roberts right now. The WWE legend was flying to Las Vegas for an event, but he passed out while on the plane. Roberts was immediately taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Reports are saying that he has yet to regain consciousness. Some are saying that Roberts has double pneumonia. His lungs are said to be filled with fluid, and there may be something wrong with his brain as well.

There's been another casualty in WWE, thanks to the company losing millions of dollars this year. Tough Enough has been taken off of life support and has now been officially scrapped. Management was hoping to do another season of the show, and they were still trying to get Steve Austin to jump back on board. However, after severely reducing the available budget for Tough Enough, officials decided that it would not work out with the limited amount of funding.

No word yet on whether or not it will be rescheduled.

The value of the WWE audience has taken yet another hit. There is already a good amount of advertisers who are avoiding the company because they do not feel that the demographics is desirable. Reports are now surfacing that Marvel purposely declined to advertise their Guardians of the Galaxy movie to the WWE audience, even though Batista could have drawn in some of the fans to the film. Since the studio was not interested, WWE opted to avoid promoting the movie, even though it could have benefited them internally.

With so much speculation in the air on his condition, it looks like Daniel Bryan will be making a return to WWE in November. Unfortunately, though, he will not be wrestling when he does come back. Pretty soon, Antarctica might become the only continent where Jeff Jarrett does not have a business deal for Global Force Wrestling. It has now been revealed that he has secured deals in Australia and New Zealand. Jarrett has signed contracts with promotions in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Auckland. The belief is that the former world heavyweight champion is not done securing deals yet.

In the upcoming weeks, Jeff Jarrett will be adding a lot of miles to his frequent flyer card.
