Undertaker replaces Hogan

When WWE signed a deal with PEZ Candy to produce dispensers decorated with the likeness of professional wrestlers, they promised their business partner that they would include three of the biggest names in professional wrestling. John Cena, The Rock and Hulk Hogan were the chosen ones. Due to the recent controversy, however, Hogan has been replaced by management. Undertaker has been given the third slot.

Now that they have successfully been able to stay in business by securing a second season, the guys in charge of Lucha Underground now need to figure out a way to generate enough interest so that they will not have to be worried about receiving a third season. That means that negotiations with Rey Mysterio should start back up again soon. The masked performer would provide them with the credibility they desperately need.

Whenever you spend more than a decade on the road with WWE, you're going to be putting your body through a whole lot of damage, regardless of how well trained you are. Edge knows that really well. In addition to being forced to retire from the business that he loves due to severe damage to his neck, the former world heavyweight champion recently also underwent surgery to repair his hand, which was damaged by years of wrestling.

Throughout the history of the business, performers would police themselves backstage by holding a wrestlers court. This recently happened in ROH, where a referee was accused of doing something minor. He was cleared of the charges. When Joe Koff found out about the incident, he informed his wrestlers to never do it again. This is another case of a wrestling promotion being ran by someone without a wrestling background.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Lucha Underground was going to stay in business and was going to start taping their second season soon. It will be without one of their more recognizable faces, however. Shawn Hernandez has officially received the release from his contract that he had been seeking for several months now. The entire ordeal cost him his job with TNA when that company found out he was still under contract to LU.

To promote his new book, Bob Backlund shared a story about when he started off in the professional wrestling business. He stated that he left home with just his car, clothes and $20. Backlund traveled from Minnesota to Louisiana to wrestle a match. Instead of being paid what he was promised, the former world champion was paid just $5, so he canceled his hotel, bought some tuna and slept in the trunk of his car.

During a podcast interview with Steve Austin, Jake Roberts revealed the origin of his Snake nickname. He claims that it was given to him by Paul Orndorff because Roberts kept sneaking behind his back and stealing his ring rats. Orndorff kept calling him a snake, so that nickname stuck. Roberts confessed that the snake gimmick made all of the difference in the world when it comes to his popularity and longevity in the business.

In yet another sign that he is highly unlikely to walk out of Night of Champions with the top belt in WWE in tow, Sting revealed during a recent interview that he was brought into the company to help put over others. The former world heavyweight champion said that he was fine with that role because he has already had his time in the spotlight. For him, it is now all about enjoying his remaining days in the business.

The legendary commentator compared her to Kurt Angle, who was one of the fastest learners that the business has ever seen.
