If roster additions are any indication of financial progress, then it looks like things are looking up for TNA. The company has reportedly reached terms on a new contract to bring Bully Ray back into the company. The former world heavyweight champion recently made an appearance as a special guest referee, but negotiations at the time had not been finalized.

To clear up all the speculation surrounding his return to TNA, Bully Ray took to the air to reveal that his appearance on Impact Wrestling was a one time thing. He stated that the front office called and told him that they needed a special guest referee for a world heavyweight championship match. Since he thought it would be fun, Bully opted to sign on for the episode. He stated that he and Devon still enjoy having independent status.

When Bully Ray left TNA because the two sides could not come to an agreement on a new contract, he attempted to go back to WWE, making a surprise appearance as a mystery entrant in the Royal Rumble in January. However, he a full time deal was never given to him, so he opted to to make a quick return to the company that made him a world heavyweight champion for the very first time in his career. A full time return is still a possibility.

There are some rumblings that Bully Ray could be making his return to TNA tonight on Impact Wrestling. Management has been promoting the fact that a former world heavyweight championship would be making a comeback. However, these rumors have to be taken with a grain of salt, as Bully is being advertised to make appearances for a promotion in New Mexico on Friday and Saturday. Of course, they could have been canceled.

Since Bully Ray came back to WWE and worked briefly during the Royal Rumble match, many fans are under the assumption that his relationship with TNA has been completely thrown aside. That is not the case, as the former world heavyweight champion clearly stated that he has not ruled out a potential return to the company. He simply feels that some time apart is good for both sides at this moment. Contract negotiations could resume.

As many of you already know, TNA has been signing quite a bit of wrestlers to contracts since securing their television deal with Destination America. Near the top of their priority list is Bully Ray. The company reportedly wants him back because they feel that he is one of the better performers in the industry. However, that could be a problem since the former world heavyweight champion is said to have some resentment towards management.
