A rather interesting development is taking place in WWE, and it might leave Devon out in the cold. Management is reportedly looking into the idea of splitting up the Dudley Boyz once again because they want to see if the Bully Ray character, which held the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, would do well in World Wrestling Entertainment. The split could happen very soon, maybe even the Royal Rumble.

During a question and answer session with the fans, Bubba Ray was asked which promotion allowed him to do his best promo work. The former world heavyweight champion stated that Paul Heyman allowed him a lot of freedom when he was working in ECW. The New York native also stated that he really enjoyed the segments that he did when he worked as the Bully Ray character in TNA.

For those of you that are waiting for Bully Ray to make a major announcement on what the future of his professional wrestling career holds, it is not going to happen. He's an old school guy that likes to surprise the audience. For now, he is more than pleased to work the independent wrestling circuit until he finds a contract to his liking. The former world champion is having no problems getting booked.

It appears that Bully Ray is gone from TNA as quickly as he showed up. Some reports are stating that the former world heavyweight champion quit the company, while others are stating that he could not have quit since he was no longer under contract. This was always planned as a short term thing. Bully has already shot and filmed his segments for Impact Wrestling. No word yet on what his plans are now.

As two of the smarter businessmen in the industry, Bully Ray and Devon recently took the opportunity to publicly campaign for a return to WWE during an interview with Sports Illustrated. Team 3D stated that they were in the best shape of their lives, and that they would provide quite a bit of credibility to the tag team division in World Wrestling Entertainment.

If roster additions are any indication of financial progress, then it looks like things are looking up for TNA. The company has reportedly reached terms on a new contract to bring Bully Ray back into the company. The former world heavyweight champion recently made an appearance as a special guest referee, but negotiations at the time had not been finalized.
