One of the notable absence during the recent Old School Raw edition of Monday Night Raw was Bret Hart. Rumor has it that WWE simply did not get around to asking the former world champion to make an appearance because they already had booked several performers.
"There is no real comparison, that is like comparing a diamond and a chunk of coal. Vince McMahon is an absolute master, he is a brilliant man, you take a look at going up against WCW, Ted Turner and that whole organisation. Turner gave us all no cut contracts; Hulk Hogan, Brutus Beefcake, Bret Hart, and myself all went to WCW. Vince then took all the cast offs like Triple H and Steve Austin and turned them into global superstars and once again he was on top. You've got to give Vince credit, he is not your friend, if you want a friend go buy a puppy, Vince is your boss. He will use you and make you money but when the time is right he will flush you down the toilet and won't think twice about it, welcome to the real world."

"First of all, I want people to realize that it is hard to see all the old stars come back to Hall of Fame stuff and me not be included in all these things. I accomplished more than anyone in 2 years at WWF and I was part of one of the biggest match that started the attitude era with Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin. That match changed wrestling to what it is today. There is not a peep from anyone within WWE. I don't know why they won't give me a shot in the WWE and to challenge for the WWE title. I have reached out through many different types of media and the only thing I've heard back is that they're doing okay and don't need me. I say that if you're gonna be bringing people back from the attitude era and before that then I don't understand why you wouldn't bring me back. There seems to be a black mark against me and I don't understand it."

"Once again, HONORED to be included in the Mae Young tribute video tonight on Monday Night Raw. So much respect for her and proud to be in same ring."
- Bully Ray
While his on screen character has dropped down from the main event scene, rumor has it that Bully Ray has been gaining power backstage in TNA. He has a good working relationship with executive vice president of television production John Gaburick from their time together in WWE.
"I think it's great for wrestling fans. As a wrestling fan and personally I am a wrestling fan. There are a lot of things that I would like to see. If I know that I can go to the WWE Network and just order something up and check out a match from back in the day that I want to see; that's awesome. So I think it's good for all of wrestling. It keeps wrestling out there. It keeps wrestling in the public's eye. And now fans have access to whatever they want to see. It's all about entertainment, guys. KISS goes up there every night; plays the same songs; Gene spits the same blood; they do the same pyro and people pay to see them. Because people love KISS. People love rock and roll; drinking whiskey; naked girls and partying. And that's the same reason why people will always love pro wrestling."
"Everybody wants to see TNA succeed. Everybody likes to sit back and whether it's bash TNA or bash the WWE; people will sit there and bash. They don't do anybody any good. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. You might not like something and that's cool. But to sit back there and bash a company for no fricking good reason when all of the wrestlers are trying to go out there every single week and do their absolute best. And all of the creative members are trying to do their absolute best in the best interest of the fans. Sometimes things don't always go the right way. Sometimes they go really great. You kind of gotta roll with the punches."

As many people witnessed on Impact Wrestling this week, TNA has decided to split Brooke Tessmacher up from Bully Ray, as his character is going to be come more of an evil loner. There's a chance that Brooke might be paired with someone else.
"I am the last of a dying breed. the last of the old-school pro wrestlers. I have the old-school respect for the industry. I think old school in and out of the ring. A lot of these guys coming out of wrestling school today, they ask when they’re going to be on TV. Nobody wants to pay their dues any more. ‘Pay your dues,’ there’s three words every young wrestler should have emblazoned in their forehead. Pay your dues, get out on the road, go live in your car, go eat bologna and cheese sandwiches, go struggle and make no money. When you finally get some success, you’ll appreciate it a whole lot more."
"Bully Ray vs. CM Punk would be the match. Paul Heyman has told me directly that me and Punk standing across from one another with a microphone in our hands would be deadly. Given the opportunity to have absolutely no restrictions on what we'd say and to just go at it, you'd be looking at the two guys who can spit venom better than anybody else out there in the industry. And I know we could back it up in the ring."
Bret Hart posted a picture on Instagram of himself and family members attending a Pearl Jam concert together.

"Toronto deserves Rob Ford, they put him in office. Toronto deserves everything it gets. Up in Calgary we've got a more prestigious mayor [Naheed Nenshi]. I think we've got the best mayor in North America."
Bret Hart has been chosen to award the Match of the Year during the Slammy Awards show on Monday Night Raw this week.
"Bret doesn't like reality TV normally and he didn't used to be a fan of women's wrestling. When the Hitman tells you it's cool, you know it's cool."
"I've calmed down a lot. There were a lot of things I did to escalate that whole thing with [opponent] Shawn Michaels and [now WWE owner] Vince McMahon. I wouldn't change anything I did in terms of my own conduct but I regret all of it.Visit Wrestling Inc. I wish I had never left the WWE but I've moved on. I went back and shook Shawn's hand and it was good for everyone to bury the hatchet."
