There has to be a pretty big grin on the face of Paul Heyman nowadays because WWE is learning even more about just how valuable of an asset that he is to the company. Sales of his new DVD have been so tremendous that distributors in several countries, including Australia and England, are backed up and need more copies sent to them. The demand has just been much stronger than initially projected.

Sting
In a really interesting move, WWE is looking to hire a body double for Sting, so that they can film some sort of stunt for the upcoming DVD about the legendary WCW star. While many fans are clamoring for Sting to finally make his debut in WWE, the belief is that the two sides have only come to an agreement on a contract to produce content and merchandise.

Rumors about Sting joining WWE has been running rampant since the start of the year, much like it has been for the past several years, and things are heating now that it has been revealed that the company is producing a DVD For the former world heavyweight champion. No agreement has been made yet on Sting appearing on screen for the company.

Strategically, there are some concerns backstage in WWE on how Vince McMahon and the company would handle the Wrestlemania 30 replay rates. While it would make sense to appease WWE Network subscribers by making it readily available, there are those that are concerned that it might have an adverse effect on Wrestlemania 30 DVD and Blu Ray sales.

Ultimate Warrior
The hall of fame induction speech for the Ultimate Warrior went a little long, but very few people backstage in WWE were upset with it because it was quite entertaining. Warrior spoke from the heart, and he genuinely seemed to be enjoying himself at the hall of fame ceremony. He also gave himself some closure by criticizing the company for producing that DVD a couple of years back.

Tony Schiavone
While he will forever be hated by some fans for his role in the Monday Night Wars, Tony Schiavone actually met with WWE recently. He was spotted at the headquarters. Management filmed some interview segments with him, and those footage will more than likely be utilized for upcoming content on the WWE Network and DVD releases.

Cody Rhodes
Even though the brothers have not been utilized on television as strongly as they were a couple of months ago, WWE is working on a DVD that will featured around Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes and Goldust. The family should be receiving a push whenever the DVD is ready to be launched. There's a good chance now that Goldust will stick around a little bit longer.

While a lot of fans are still under the impression that this could be some sort of work, WWE continues to have their business affected by the departure of CM Punk leaving before his contract expired. The company is now offering refunds on a best of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown DVD because they had initially promised cards signed by Punk.

While all signs have been pointing to Batista winning the WWE Championship from Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 30 because of his upcoming movie, another thing that could be swaying Vince McMahon and company is the fact that a new Batista DVD is being released in June. WWE has started teasing the upcoming release of the Paul Heyman DVD, which will be called The Paul Heyman story. The company plans on making the documentary of the former ECW owner available to the public some time in August of this year.

While a lot of speculation and rumors have been floating around that he has signed the contract offer with the company because he made some appearances recently to discuss the life of the Ultimate Warrior, Sting still has yet to sign a deal with WWE to become an on screen character. He might have signed a minor deal for merchandise and DVD, however.

All signs are pointing to WWE working on a brand new Ultimate Warrior DVD, one that will not mock him like the previous one. There are talks that it will be released around Wrestlemania time to coincide with a possible induction ceremony.

For years, there was backstage heat between Ultimate Warrior and Vince McMahon. It was actually so bad at one point that WWE spent a lot of money to produce a DVD that was designed to defame the former heavyweight champion. The relationship is repaired now, and there are actually talks of inducting him into the hall of fame at Wrestlemania 30.

Since the video game was sweeping the nation, WCW decided to capitalize on the popularity of the Mortal Kombat series by creating wrestling characters that were similar to the ones in the game. Bryan Clark, Ernest Miller, Glacier and Chris Kanyon were given characters that were part MMA fighters and part superheroes.

Some rumors floated around earlier this morning that John Cena was attacked by a fan after Monday Night Raw went off the air. However, those in attendance are telling a different story now. Eyewitnesses say that the fan jumped the rail to embrace Cena. WWE security immediately grabbed him. As they were escorting him out, Cena was informed of what was going on, so he went over there and gave the guy a high five.

Another potential legal battle is heading towards WWE. Honky Tonk Man is threatening to sue the company, and he is taunting them into suing him as well. The dispute between the two sides is over the use of the character and name. While working at an independent wrestling show outside of Omaha, Nebraska, Bobby Eaton started having seizure like effects. It got bad enough to where he was rushed to the hospital. Doctors believe that he suffered a heart attack, and his defibulator and pacemaker prevented him from dying.

Michael Moody has passed away. While he's not necessarily a well known name in the world of professional wrestling, many will remember him as being the son of the legendary Paul Bearer. When the company wanted to induct the iconic manager into their hall of fame, WWE enlisted the help of his two sons to do the honors. Moody was 34 years of age and passed away in his sleep.

Knowing the right people is still an asset in the professional wrestling industry. During a recent interview, Matt Hardy revealed that there have been ongoing negotiations between TNA and his wife, Reby Sky. He is expected to take some time off the road to recover from his wounds, but he should be back on WWE television before the end of the year.

Some really awful news for WWE this weekend, as Roman Reigns had to be rushed to the hospital. The rising star is undergoing surgery for an incarcerated hernia. Reigns will be forced to miss his Night of Champions 2014 match against Seth Rollins. Since the match was a featured one, the pay per view has suffered a bit of a blow. No word yet on what WWE intends to do with that slot.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that WWE pays their developmental wrestlers approximately $25,000 a year. It has now been discovered that the amount is only for the male performers. The divas in WWE NXT, such as Ashley Flair, Bayley and Sasha Banks, are paid $50,000 a year, which is twice as much. The reasoning behind that is because management feels that the girls have more expenses in maintaining their looks.

Big Time Wrestling has come up with a big time promotional idea. The company has signed on Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat to make appearances together at two shows in November. The first event will be in Springfield, Massachusetts, while the other will be in Fishkill, New York. During a recent interview, Jim Ross revealed just how close Brock Lesnar and Shelton Benjamin were in college. The video game was initially scheduled to be released in North America on October 28. It has ow been pushed back to November 18. The official word given for the move is because both companies wanted to produce the best possible game before releasing it to the fans, but as many already know, that is simply public relations talk.

During a recent interview, Dixie Carter was asked about the situation involving the departure of AJ Styles from TNA. She stated that she felt the company gave him a respectful offer. While she did praise him as a model employee, Carter also goes on to state that she feels that Styles made a mistake by not accepting the contract.
