"There is a lot of truth to that, absolutely. There were guys that came there from other organizations that perhaps they thought they should just skip everybody else and skip right to the top and have things right away the way they wanted. I mean, hey, there are rules and things that you have to abide by as far as this business goes. and you have to respect those. But, when you don't respect those, then hey, we have got a problem. So, yes, we had a lot of guys who came in with that attitude, and John and I would have to be called upon to let them know 'hey, that is not how it works here'." - Ron Simmons on how he and JBL handled backstage politics in WWE

Kofi Kingston
"People always say, 'Oh, there haven't been many black champions,' but on the other hand, there are a whole lot of white people that never won a belt either. These days, I think it's less of a racial thing. I honestly believe that if you are able to entertain and interact with the crowd, it doesn't matter what ethnicity you may be. WWE will reward you." - Kofi Kingston discusses racism and backstage politics

Davey Richards
"We're not talking. We're not on good terms. I have no respect for them whatsoever. I strongly dislike management there like with the exception of Jeff Jones who is a great guy. But the booker (Hunter Johnson) is completely inadequate at his job and he got his job more for being spineless than being talented. And the owner (Joe Koff) is even worse, he could care less about wrestling. He just wants to do television. To me, it's just not something I agree with but I'm not there anymore and they do their own thing. And for the talent and the fans I wish them nothing but the best of luck. That company is in business not because of stellar booking and stellar management. They're in business still because they'they're spineless. The talent there is phenomenal. They're top notch and great. But the management from the booker to the owner it's definitely shut up and do what you're told and drink the Kool-aid. I made a joke when I was there I called it Jim Jones wrestling. Just shut up and drink the Kool-aid and do your job. In private, people are going this sucks this sucks this sucks and I'm the one who came out and said this is terrible. I worked for that company and gave them everything I had for seven years. I think I earned my right to an opinion. Once that got out, it was like you're going against the stream? You're not here to have an opinion, just shut up and do your job and get your paycheck. I'm sure you can find someone else to do that for a lot less money than what you're paying me so I'm just going to go about my way. Best decision I ever made and I have no desire to go back, ever." - Davey Richards talks about the backstage politics in ROH

John Cena
"He's a workhorse. He does incredible things for the company and he busts his butt. Outside the ring, I can't stand the guy. He's not a nice guy, he holds talent down. He steals ideas. He's a prick." - Tyler Reks discusses backstage politics with John Cena when he was in WWE

Kamala
"Vince McMahon has certain people that he will pay. If you get along with Vince, do him sexual favors, you'll get along good with him. But if you just (do your job and) mind your own business, then he doesn't like you for some reason. There was a lot of men with men in those days and even men with boys. I know a lot of guys that (failed drug tests) and it was documented that they passed, and I know what they did." - Kamala on backstage politics in WWE

Dusty Rhodes
"It was strictly politics. Dusty Rhodes was the booker and he was against it. You know, what are you going to do. He didn't book me anywhere during the whole time I had the belt until the rematch because Dusty Rhodes was a very, very jealous guy when it came to guys getting over. He was the wrong guy to be a booker. He is the one who put Jim Crockett out of business. He is the reason Jim Crockett had to sell and was losing his butt. It was the same thing with the Rock and Roll Express. He couldn't stand the Rock and Roll Express getting over like rock stars. I mean, girls would go crazy. They had to have some protection for the Rock and Roll Express, the girls would attack them, just like rock stars, it was unbelievable." - Ronnie Garvin discusses backstage politics and Dusty Rhodes

Linda McMahon
While she has been relatively quiet as of late, Linda McMahon is still making moves in the world of politics. The former WWE CEO is being honored this month with the Prescott Bush Award, which is viewed as the highest honor that is bestowed by the Connecticut Republican Party. Despite the launch of the WWE Network, Linda is still keeping her distance from the company.

Carlito
Those hoping to see Carlito making his return to the company some day are going to be quite disappointed, as it seems like he has very little interest in returning to WWE. The former US champion has been booked rather frequently on the independent wrestling circuit, and he reportedly is not interested in returning to the backstage politics that takes place in WWE.

Bret Hart

"Toronto deserves Rob Ford, they put him in office. Toronto deserves everything it gets. Up in Calgary we've got a more prestigious mayor [Naheed Nenshi]. I think we've got the best mayor in North America."

Brutus Magnus
"I'm as grateful to Sting as anybody in the wrestling business for the benefit he has had in my career. Steve is a great guy and very very smart and just a model citizen as far as the way he conducts himself and how much respect he commands. There are some people who seem to be obsessed with respect and seem to be obsessed with guys not showing them enough respect but Sting is a guy who has never had to pull any stunts, never had to bully anyone, never had to throw his weight around or pull rank; he commands respect. The same could be said about Kurt Angle." - Brutus Magnus discusses how Sting is backstage

Bobby Roode
If TNA decides to keep the belt on Eric Young for the long term, an idea which is being tossed around backstage because of his marketing value at the moment, then management is going to push Bobby Roode up as a challenger for the world heavyweight championship. There are still talks of Brutus Magnus recapturing the belt at TNA Sacrifice 2014.

A piledriver sealed the pin fall victory for Young.

Brutus Magnus
When Bobby Lashley made his return to TNA, some felt that it might have been a temporary appearance. However, that was squashed when it was revealed that was back for an extended period of time. There are rumors floating around right now that TNA could use his name value to give some credibility to Brutus Magnus in a title program.

Brutus Magnus
Internally, TNA is hoping that they can build up Gunner over the next several months, so that he can become a title challenger for Brutus Magnus and the world heavyweight championship. His program with James Storm and fantastic match at TNA Lockdown 2014 helped increase his credibility in the eyes of the fans. Management will be doing more of that as well.

Samoa Joe
While he is not officially booked for an event, you can expect to see Rockstar Spud being involved in the main event TNA championship match between Brutus Magnus and Samoa Joe. On Impact Wrestling, Dixie Carter was selling the fact that Magnus would be out there alone. That is simply a set up for some interference from Spud.

Ethan Carter
Through his latest blog post, Jim Ross was critical of TNA because the company has Kurt Angle working a mid card match at TNA Lockdown 2014. For those that are not aware, the former world heavyweight champion has been booked for a steel cage match against Ethan Carter. The main event of the pay per view features Brutus Magnus and Samoa Joe.

Brutus Magnus
While there are those backstage that believe that he is deserving of another title reign, the belief right now is that Samoa Joe will not be taking the belt from Brutus Magnus. TNA wants to give him a nice long reign to build up his heel heat, so that when the time is right, a baby face would get the huge victory over him.
February 26, 2014
James Storm
While it has yet to be officially announced for the pay per view, many are expecting a match between James Storm and Gunner will be added to TNA Lockdown 2014. On Impact Wrestling this week, Storm turned heel by hitting his super kick on a flying Gunner during his heavyweight championship match against Brutus Magnus.
February 23, 2014
Kurt Angle
The belief right now is that Kurt Angle will be the next performer to challenge Brutus Magnus for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He is currently involved in a program with Samoa Joe, and the plan appears to be for Magnus to retain and move on. It also appears that Angle will be putting over Magnus as well.

On March 2, several TNA stars are being sent to Japan to work the Wrestle-1 Outbreak pay per view in Tokyo. Brutus Magnus is scheduled to defend the world title, and now we know that the challenger will be Kai, who won a couple of qualifying matches to get the coveted spot. The Great Muta himself has been putting together the card.
February 15, 2014
Kurt Angle
Since TNA really wants Brutus Magnus to be viewed as a main event performer, one of the ideas being tossed around backstage is to have Kurt Angle put him over in an upcoming feud. Many feel that a win over the former world champion would help add credibility to both his character and his reign. TNA could do a huge match on a special edition of Impact Wrestling.
February 14, 2014
Samoa Joe
In order to help his new promotion gain more fans, the Great Muta is putting together a big pay per view in March. It now has a name. Wrestle-1 has revealed that the event will be called Outbreak. Thanks to a business deal with TNA, the show will feature stars such as Brutus Magnus, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode.
