While he has been training especially hard over the last couple of months to make it happen, it is being said that the biggest reason why Brodus Clay is being given a match at Wrestlemania 30, where he will be a participant in the Andre the Giant battle royal, is because of his involvement in the new Scooby Doo movie that WWE is promoting.

While things were looking bleak for a moment there, it looks like Brodus Clay now has a chance again at achieving his goal of working Wrestlemania 30. He vowed not to miss the event again after being pulled last year at the last minute, but ended up in the dog house with management. He has a chance at the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal now.

Despite having very little chance of making it on to the Wrestlemania 30 card like he had hoped, Brodus Clay is still doing his countdown towards that day. After being removed at the last minute last year, Clay had vowed to work hard to ensure that the same thing would not happen this year. WWE has demoted him quite a bit over the last few months, unfortunately.

Brodus Clay vowed to earn himself a spot on the main Wrestlemania 30 card this year, and he even managed to convince WWE officials to turn him heel and give him a character makeover. However, as of right now, it does not appear that he will be picking up enough momentum to earn that coveted spot.

Brock Lesnar
It was heavily speculated that Brock Lesnar would be taking time off after Wrestlemania 30, and it looks like the rumors are true. WWE has removed him from their list of available performers backstage. There are talks that he could be out until Summerslam 2014, unless management can convince him to work some dates before then.

While he worked the battle royal at Wrestlemania 30, the Great Khali is not actively back on the road with WWE after all. The former world heavyweight champion is being given another four weeks off. He is scheduled to return to television in the middle of May. No word yet on why he is being give time off, but there are some rumors that he is injured.

After being heavily rumored to be leaving the company after Wrestlemania 30, Vickie Guerrero has continued to be on the road for WWE. This week, she worked the Smackdown taping. Afterwards, the wrestlers got together and threw her a little birthday party once the television taping was done. She turned 46 today.

WWE has issued a statement touting the fact that a record number of households watched Wrestlemania 30 this year. That total comes from both the WWE Network and traditional pay per view buys. One of the reasons why Vince McMahon wanted to launch the online service was to draw in more people for the pay per view with the lower monthly pricing.

Since there was still a buzz surrounding the professional wrestling industry, many had expected viewership for Monday Night Raw to increase this week because the company was doing a tribute to the Ultimate Warrior, who died last week. WWE was disappointed to learn that fewer people tuned in this week than for the episode after Wrestlemania 30.

Prior to Wrestlemania 30, there were plans in place to push Alberto Del Rio towards Big E Langston and the WWE Intercontinental Championship, so when the tournament was announced, many viewed Del Rio as a top candidate to win. However, management has changed their minds on that push, as evident by the fact that Del Rio lost to Rob Van Dam on Monday Night Raw this week.

After beating Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista at Wrestlemania 30 for the heavyweight championship, a lot of fans wondered who WWE will choose to work with Bryan in his first month as champion. As of right now, it looks like management is leaning heavily towards Kane to be his first major opponent. The two are expected to work Extreme Rules 2014 together.

While a lot of people assume that he is an asshole because of his reserved nature, Brock Lesnar actually impressed quite a bit of people in WWE with the amount of respect that he showed the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 30. Not only did he thanks Undertaker in the ring for letting him beat the streak, Lesnar also rode to the hospital afterwards to visit Undertaker.

It has been a rather busy month for the Rock. First, he flies into New Olreans to give WWE a hand with Wrestlemania 30. Then, he heads over to England to finalize things with the Hercules movie. Rock also stopped in Dubai to do some promotional work. His next stop is Australia, where the former WWE champion will start shooting the San Andreas movie.

Since the company was not exactly pleased with the amount of subscribers that have already signed up, Vince McMahon and company are offering another free trial for the WWE Network. Management wants to get a lot closer to the one million mark before the year ends, so that they can tout the project as a success. A replay of Wrestlemania 30 is being included with the free trial.

In a sign of just how valued he is within the company, Michael Hayes is still with WWE. He remains a fairly high ranking official for the company and has a big role backstage, even though he has had so many incidents and suspensions. WWE is even tossing around the idea of inducting the Freebirds into the hall of fame during Wrestlemania 32, which is rumored to be held in Texas.

Rumors have it that Triple H is the main driving force behind Bruno Sammartino staying involved with WWE. The company already has received his biggest marketing contributions when he was inducted into the hall of fame, but since HHH is a big fan of Sammartino, the two sides are maintaining a working relationship. Sammartino was at Wrestlemania 30 weekend, even though he was not featured on screen.

After his cameo appearance at Wrestlemania 30, the Rock has headed back to England to put in more work into the Hercules film. Rumors are heating up that WWE has secured a deal to induct Randy Savage into the hall of fame during Wrestlemania 31 weekend next year in Silicon Valley. The company flew in his brother, Lanny Poffo, to New Orleans, and the belief is that the move was done in order to secure the blessings of his remaining family members.

Rumors surfaced before Wrestlemania 30 that Titus ONeil was no longer going to be on the receiving end of a push in WWE. There was actually a push backstage in WWE to have Jim Ross doing commentary at Wrestlemania 30. The legendary performer was penciled in to call the match between Brock Lesnar and Undertaker. WWE opted against the idea because they were concerned that fans might be able to figure out that Undertaker was going to be losing the match since Ross was brought back for the occasion.

WWE has announced that the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal will consists of Alberto Del Rio, Big E Langston, Big Show, Brodus Clay, Christian, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Darren Young, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Fandango, Goldust, Great Khali, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, Justin Gabriel, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, Miz, R Truth, Rey Mysterio, Santino Marella, Sheamus, Sin Cara, Titus ONeil and Zack Ryder. There are also four spots available for last minute entrants.

After spending some time down at the WWE Performance Center, Brodus Clay is now back on the road. He worked a live event over the weekend in Atlantic City, where he did a quick dance off segment with the Great Khali, another performer who has been off the road for a couple of weeks. No word on a television return for Clay yet.

Thanks to being a part of a popular act for a while there, Brodus Clay maintains a pretty good salary from his bosses in WWE. The former bodyguard for Snoop Dogg is now being paid $170,000 a year as a professional wrestler. Being paid more than six figures is considered quite a feat for someone that does not receive consistent time on television.

The demotion of Brodus Clay seems to be getting worse and worse. Aside from being pulled from Monday Night Raw and Smackdown, he has been working in the developmental program as of late, training with Bill DeMott. Clay worked a match for WWE NXT and actually put over Angelo Dawkins. Generally, main roster guys are the ones getting the victories.

Management wants to tout that she is the first cousin of world famous rapper Snoop Dogg. The company has already acknowledged on multiple times that Brodus Clay was a former bodyguard for the rapper.

Obviously, management wanted it to happen at one point, as they gave the split some television time. The feeling is that there is backstage heat on Clay, as he has not been utilized on television in three weeks now.

There is some confusion backstage in WWE over what the company is doing with Brodus Clay. While they made the effort to turn him heel, give him a new look and split him apart from Tensai, Naomi Knight and Cameron, management hasn't exactly been behind his push.
