According to UFC president Dana White, CM Punk is going to have a very rough time in MMA because he has no athletic credentials. White made that statement while talking about Micky Gall, the man that he has penciled in as the first opponent for Punk, a fight that is expected to take place in June. White stated that Brock Lesnar was a different case because he came from a massive amateur wrestling background.

When asked for his opinions by the Sporting News, Frank Mir did not hesitate to say that he was disappointed that Brock Lesnar chose to stay with WWE instead of going back to UFC. The former world heavyweight champion felt that a rematch between the two would draw huge money for the promotion. Mir firmly states that he believes that Lesnar is quite the marketing asset for MMA.

When asked if he was open to a career in professional wrestling, Cain Velasquez said that it would be something that he might consider down the line. Right now, he is focused on his career in UFC. If Velasquez does choose to make the jump after retiring from MMA, the belief is that WWE would definitely be interested in someone with his level of name value. He has fought Brock Lesnar before, so that match would be a possibility.

While a lot of people were under the impression that Brock Lesnar was going to scratch the itch and make a return to MMA, Dana White revealed that he was not very close at all to being able to sign his former world heavyweight champion to a contract. White stated that Lesnar was 38 years old, and the deal that WWE offered to him was simply too lucrative and favorable to resist. White still continues to have nothing but positive things to say about Lesnar.

Even though he did not work a match at Wrestlemania, Hulk Hogan was given a locker room by WWE. He had to share one, and his choice of a roommate was rather interesting. The legendary performer shared the room with Brock Lesnar. The feeling is that management wanted the former UFC star to be in near proximity to the guy that helped start the pay per view in the first place, in case he needed any advice or pointers.

One of those people is the ever outspoken Chael Sonnen. He states that if Lesnar really wanted to do MMA again, then Dana White and Vince McMahon would find a way to make it happen. Sonnen stated that McMahon and White are closer than a lot of fans know.

He stated had the deal not been done, he would have left the company along with Lesnar. Sometimes in life, you just get a deal on the table that is simply too difficult to refuse. Brock Lesnar was given just that by WWE, so he decided to sign on the dotted line instead of waiting to negotiate a contract with UFC and Bellator. The former world heavyweight champion announced on ESPN that his days in MMA are behind him now. His legacy in that sport is completed. He will finish off his career as a professional wrestler now.

There are those within WWE that feel that management made a big mistake by being too greedy with Rey Mysterio. Some feel that he should have been utilized as a special attraction in the same manner in which the company is doing with Sting, Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. He is using his massive drawing power in Mexico to command a very easy schedule, where he will only wrestle a handful of times per year.
