During a recent interview, Kevin Owens revealed how big of a Brock Lesnar fan that he is. Owens stated that he was in the audience on the night that Lesnar made his debut on Monday Night Raw. He also has purchased several merchandise that are related to Lesnar. Owens also had a dog he named after Lesnar. Plus, Owens stated that he used to do the F5 on the indies as a tribute to Lesnar.

Rumors are floating around that the reason why the main event of Monday Night Raw felt like it was just thrown together is because it was. Management was so focused getting things right with Brock Lesnar and Undertaker that they simply threw together a main event filled with big name guys that would send the audience home happy. The goal was selling the main event of Summerslam.

While that may be enough to get the internet wrestling community into a frenzy, a deeper look reveals that they are not as certain as they have been in the past. Lesnar could end up winning the match but not capturing the WWE championship.

Despite being in a strong market like St Louis and having Brock Lesnar in the main event, ticket sales for Battleground have been pretty disappointing. In fact, it is weakest advance for a pay per view this year. The front office will more than likely look for someone to pin the blame on, but it is highly unlikely to be Lesnar, who is still viewed as a strong draw.
