Paul Heyman returning soon

In order to keep Brock Lesnar on the mind of their fans, WWE still has plans on bringing Paul Heyman back soon. He is scheduled to work a segment with Michael Cole in regards to the kayfabe lawsuit that the commentator is filing against the former world heavyweight champion. Management still wants that angle to happen, but they are still undecided as to when to pull the trigger. The focus right now has been mainly on the upcoming Extreme Rules.

Cain Velasquez to WWE

When asked if he was open to a career in professional wrestling, Cain Velasquez said that it would be something that he might consider down the line. Right now, he is focused on his career in UFC. If Velasquez does choose to make the jump after retiring from MMA, the belief is that WWE would definitely be interested in someone with his level of name value. He has fought Brock Lesnar before, so that match would be a possibility.

Brock Lesnar negotiations with UFC

While a lot of people were under the impression that Brock Lesnar was going to scratch the itch and make a return to MMA, Dana White revealed that he was not very close at all to being able to sign his former world heavyweight champion to a contract. White stated that Lesnar was 38 years old, and the deal that WWE offered to him was simply too lucrative and favorable to resist. White still continues to have nothing but positive things to say about Lesnar.

Michael Cole absent

There was actually a good amount of discussion throughout the afternoon about whether or not Michael Cole would be doing commentary on Monday Night Raw. Since people backstage were so divided, the decision was made to keep him off of television this week, in order to sell how brutal the beating from Brock Lesnar was. Many in WWE felt that it would be downplaying his impact if Cole were to be able to return to television so soon.

Brock Lesnar baby face

In a sign of how well he is being accepted as a baby face, fans voted on the WWE website that Brock Lesnar should not be fined. They feel that the suspension is more than enough of a punishment. That bodes well for the creative department because they don't have to do as much work in building up support for him from the audience. The longstanding belief is that Lesnar has what it takes to be the top baby face in the company.

Michael Cole sues Brock Lesnar

One of the ideas being thrown around by the creative department right now is do a story line where Michael Cole threatens to sue Brock Lesnar for the injuries that he suffered on the previous episode of Monday Night Raw. WWE might do a thing where Paul Heyman would beg and plead with Cole to drop the charges. The move would give Heyman something to do on television, and it would continue the story line for Lesnar.

Hogan and Lesnar

Even though he did not work a match at Wrestlemania, Hulk Hogan was given a locker room by WWE. He had to share one, and his choice of a roommate was rather interesting. The legendary performer shared the room with Brock Lesnar. The feeling is that management wanted the former UFC star to be in near proximity to the guy that helped start the pay per view in the first place, in case he needed any advice or pointers.

Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar

While making a special guest appearance during the Jim Ross one man show, Samoa Joe revealed his plans for the future. He stated that his main goal is to work a match against Brock Lesnar at the next Wrestlemania for the heavyweight championship. He stated that he doesn't care if he has to go through the developmental program in NXT to achieve that goal. Joe is hoping that WWE opts to put him on the main roster immediately, though.

When Brock Lesnar opted to stay with WWE for another three years, UFC lost out on someone that could draw big numbers for them again. That was the reason why Dana White was offering a huge sum of money to his former world heavyweight champion. Since the void is still there, that has caused other great draws into considering a comeback. Georges St Pierre is now thinking about coming out of retirement to return to MMA.

Brock Lesnar to UFC

Despite signing a new three year contract to remain with WWE, there are those that still believe that Brock Lesnar has not completely shut the door on UFC. One of those people is the ever outspoken Chael Sonnen. He states that if Lesnar really wanted to do MMA again, then Dana White and Vince McMahon would find a way to make it happen. Sonnen stated that McMahon and White are closer than a lot of fans know.
