While it's nothing new to fans who have paid attention to the company for the last several years, things are pretty hectic backstage in WWE right now when it comes to plans for Wrestlemania 30. The only match considered to be a lock right now is the one featuring Bray Wyatt and John Cena.
Rumor has it that Bray Wyatt has earned the trust of WWE officials backstage to the point where he is now being allowed to write his own promos. He still needs approval from the creative department before using them on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown, though.
Bray Wyatt has a lot of fans backstage in WWE, so the belief is that he has a very good chance of being put over at Wrestlemania 30 by John Cena. Management really wants him to become a main event performer, and a win of such magnitude would give him the required credibility.
Since Hulk Hogan looks unlikely to be able to work a match at Wrestlemania 30, WWE is looking at other ways to use John Cena. He is unlikely to work a match for the heavyweight championship, so a high profile match against Bray Wyatt is back on the table.
Rumor has it that John Cena will be removed from the main event scene following Royal Rumble 2014. Randy Orton is expected to be moved into a program with a new challenger, most likely to be Batista, while Cena is rumored to be joining Daniel Bryan in his battle against Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.
Since CM Punk has been pulled from all of the upcoming live events, WWE needed a new main event match, as he was originally planned to headline the shows with Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Now, Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan have been moved into the top spot.
Since the start, Bray Wyatt has done all of the talking to the Wyatt Family. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan generally just stand to the side and in the background during the interview segments. On Smackdown this week, though, Harper actually says a few words.
