After teasing it last night, it has now been revealed that Bobby Roode will indeed be at the first GFW television taping that is taking place later this month in Las Vegas. The former world heavyweight champion is being allowed to add his star power to help the new promotion get up off the ground. He is still under contract to TNA.

Since Bobby Roode is considered one of the best overall performers in the entire professional wrestling industry, it was an easy decision for TNA to want to keep him around. John Gaburick has managed to pull that off. A new contract has been signed between the two sides, and the former world heavyweight champion will be with the company for at least another year. Roode has long maintained that he is loyal to promotion that gave him a chance.

In case you missed the last few episodes of Impact Wrestling, Kurt Angle defeated Bobby Roode and Eric Young to become the top contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship that is currently held by Bobby Lashley. Reports have surfaced that management was instructed to push the Olympic gold medalist because having a real American hero would be great for a the theme that Destination America has been trying to push for themselves.

Some rumors circulated a couple of days ago that Bobby Roode has purposely skipped out on a WLW show in Puerto Rico. It went around enough to where the TNA star decided to respond to the speculations through social media. Roode stated that he believes in professionalism, so he would never purposely skip out on a show without warning the promoters. The world heavyweight champion revealed that multiple flight delays prevented his appearance.
