Since Bobby Roode is considered one of the best overall performers in the entire professional wrestling industry, it was an easy decision for TNA to want to keep him around. John Gaburick has managed to pull that off. A new contract has been signed between the two sides, and the former world heavyweight champion will be with the company for at least another year. Roode has long maintained that he is loyal to promotion that gave him a chance.

Reports have surfaced that management was instructed to push the Olympic gold medalist because having a real American hero would be great for a the theme that Destination America has been trying to push for themselves.

With just the first three matches announced, he already has a stacked card for House of Hardcore VIII, which is taking place in the ECW Arena on Marc 7. Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian are taking on Bully Ray and Devon. Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson are up against Austin Aries and Bobby Roode. Dreamer will take on Eric Young.

While their feud has been largely overlooked by mainstream wrestling fans, the program between Bobby Roode and Eric Young is both heavily anticipated and praised by those in the industry. The two performers are really good friends who are willing to take each other to the limit in order to produce an entertaining feud for TNA. There are even rumors that several people backstage in WWE have been keeping up with the feud as well.
