For those that missed the POP TV debut of Impact Wrestling, Ethan Carter is once again the world heavyweight champion in TNA. That is quite interesting as the original plans called for Bobby Lashley to defeat Matt Hardy for the belt. No official word yet on why management made the change, but there are speculations that Lashley might need to focus more on his MMA training now that he is a top contender for a Bellator title.

Bobby Lashley is getting a chance to avenge a previous loss in MMA. Bellator has revealed that he is going to be facing James Thompson in a rematch on June 19. The event will take place in St Louis. Since that is only two months away, you can expect Lashley to scale back his commitment to TNA, so that he can start training full time. Fortunately for him, the front office is very supportive of his mixed martial arts career.

When word broke out that Bobby Lashley had suffered some sort of injury, the specifics were not immediately revealed. Fans only knew that it was bad enough for him to be forced to cancel a fight with Bellator but not bad enough that he would miss time from TNA events. Reports have now surfaced that the injury involves his hands. While doing MMA training, it would swell up considerably whenever he attempted to grapple or punch.
