WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that John Cena will soon start filming a new movie for WWE.

The movie is called 12 Rounds, and it will start filming at the end of January. The movie will be quite similar to The Marine in that John Cena will once again be playing a character whose girlfriend/wife gets kidnapped and he has to rescue her.

The movie, which is being filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana, is being directed by Renny Harlin. He’s the same director that did Cliffhanger and Die Hard 2.

An interesting thing to note is that the script cannot be re-written because of the writer’s strike.

The movie will be released straight to DVD and will not hit the theaters. Kind of surprising since The Marine did well for the company.

Also, John Cena isn’t too bad of actor. Plus, you get to see the T-1000 (Robert Patrick) in a different role.
