Analysis
There’s a lot of reasons why WCW failed. A lot of those reasons aren’t on the list. This list is basically just to take shots at certain people. If you really look at it, it’s somewhat hypocritical.
David Arquette was no worse than Kevin Federline. The only difference was that WWE was smart enough not to put the title on him. He still feuded with the top star in WWE, though.
The Misfits in Action were a good stable. There was plenty of talent in there with Booker T, Chavo Guerrero, Lash LeRoux, and Hugh Morrus. All were good workers.
Turning Jim Duggan into an anti-American heel was a risk. It was either going to work out or be a bust. It ended up being a bust. Of course, WWE is still using Jim Duggan to this day. He even went over cleanly on a younger talent in Daivari, who ended up leaving the company because he felt he wasn’t being used properly.
The Magnificent Seven consisted of 2 guys (Lex Luger and Jeff Jarrett) who Vince McMahon still holds a personal grudge against. That’s self explanatory.
The storyline between the New Blood and the Millionaires was actually pretty good. It’s a wonderful concept. Think about it, a group of established veterans feuding with fresh faces looking to establish themselves. Ring a bell?
“Crazy” Ric Flair had some classic comedic moments, both in WCW and WWE.
Wonder if WWE hated the Chavo Guerrero/Pepe thing because they’re so against midcard wrestlers being paired up with cleaning supplies such as a mop or a broom.
The matches in the Mall of America were actually a pretty cool. Plus, it was during the early stages of Nitro. It had absolutely nothing to do with the company shutting down years later.
nWo 2000 was better than nWo WWE. Bret Hart, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Jeff Jarrett were at least an elite group and not watered down.
The rest of the things on the list were pretty lame, though.
