WWE Eugene

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Nick Dinsmore did a segment in OVW where Eugene was just a dream.

Nick Dinsmore needed a creative way to return to his original “Mr Wrestling” gimmick of the “retarded wrestler” gimmick that he was doing in WWE (Eugene). So, they came up with a storyline where he would wake up and realize that Eugene’s entire time in WWE was just a dream of his.

Got to say that this is a brilliant idea. Continuity is a good thing. Maybe now we’ll get to see Nick Dinsmore being one of the best in-ring performers in the business again.

Brian Pillman

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Lexi Pillman is close to making her wrestling debut.

Lexi Pillman, the step daughter of the late Brian Pillman, will be making debut for an independent wrestling company down in Georgia soon.

Kind of interesting that she would choose to join the wrestling business. It doesn’t always work out. For every Randy Orton and Terry Funk, there’s a few David Sammartinos and Vic Steamboats.

We’d like to wish her the best of luck.

Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen DVD Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen DVD
For those of you that don’t know, Brian Pillman was once a part of the legendary Four Horsemen stable. He was in the version with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, and Chris Benoit. Many people consider this version to be one of the best versions of the group ever.

Road Warrior Animal

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Road Warrior Animal may be close to signing with TNA.

Road Warrior Animal (real name Joe Laurinaitis) has been in talks with TNA about joining the company in the creative department. He’s wrestled for TNA in the past as a mystery partner for Rick Steiner. If he signs on with TNA as a writer, there’s always the chance that TNA could use him a few times on screen because of his connections to several of the current characters.

It’s a bit interesting that Road Warrior Animal would go to TNA instead of WWE since his brother, John Laurinaitis, works backstage for WWE.

Lacey Von Erich

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Lacey Von Erich has been released by WWE.

There are reports that Lacey Von Erich has been released from WWE’s developmental territory down in Florida. Her profile has been removed from the official Florida Championship Wrestling website.

It is believed that she was let go because she was not picking up the business fast enough.

For those of you that don’t know, Lacey Von Erich is the daughter of the late Kerry Von Erich (known as the Texas Tornado in WWE).

It’s a shame that she didn’t make it. It would been nice to have seen a Von Erich in the wrestling business again. Plus, she’s incredible eye candy.

WWE MVP

Wrest lingRevealed.com has learned that WWE management has started discussing plans for the 2008 WWE Draft Lottery.

Management realizes that they need to shake things up, and moving wrestlers around would be one method of accomplishing that. So, we’re certain to get another draft lottery after Wrestlemania.

The 2007 WWE Draft Lottery saw superstars like Ric Flair, Bobby Lashley, King Booker, Mr Kennedy, Chris Benoit and others move from one brand to another.  All in all, there were 25 wrestlers moved during the draft lottery.

Hopefully, the 2008 WWE Draft Lottery will consists of more than simply adding talent to the Raw roster. This year’s draft lottery was criticized by fans for shifting too much talent to the Raw brand.

WWE Edge

The final card for Armageddon has been set.

WWE Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho

World Heavyweight Championship
Batista vs Undertaker vs Edge

#1 Contender’s Match
Triple H vs Jeff Hardy

ECW Tag Team Grudge Match
CM Punk & Kane vs Big Daddy V & Mark Henry

Grudge Match
Shawn Michaels vs Mr Kennedy

Grudge Match
Finlay vs Great Khali

WWE Women’s Championship
Beth Phoenix vs Mickie James

WWE United States Heavyweight Championship
MVP vs Rey Mysterio

This show is definitely based around the triple threat World Heavyweight Championship math. It’s the best storyline going on in this pay per view.

All eyes will also be on the match between Triple H and Jeff Hardy. People are interested in that match because it will dictate what happens with the World Heavyweight Championship for the next few months.

WWE needs to do a better job of building up the rest of the show. There’s absolutely no heat for any of the other matches. Fans just don’t get the sense that there’s going to be a title change in any of the matches besides the Smackdown main event. WWE might have been better off doing a #1 Contender’s tournament with Jeff Hardy, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Mr Kennedy instead.

James Laurinaitis

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that James Laurinaitis has won the Butkus Award.

James Laurinaitis is a linebacker for Ohio State University. The Butkus Award is given each year to the best linebacker in the nation.

Some of you are probably wondering why this is being reported on a wrestling website. Well, James Laurinaitis is the son of the legendary Road Warrior Animal (real name Joe Laurinaitis). His uncle, John Laurinaitis, also happens to be the guy in charge of hiring and firing people for WWE.

Many people had speculated that James Laurinaitis would pursue a career in wrestling, but it looks like his football career is coming along rather nicely.

Paul Bearer

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Paul Bearer has declined WWE’s invitation for him to appear on the upcoming special episode of Monday Night Raw.

Paul Bearer declined the invitation because of his schedule.

Since leaving the wrestling business, he has gone back to the funeral business. He also spends time managing his son, who wrestles on the independent wrestling circuit. His son, DJ Pringle, is 6′4″, 275. That tremendous size (and his father’s connections)might get him into WWE some day.

Hermie Sadler

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that former NASCAR driver Hermie Sadler has signed on with TNA.

Hermie Sadler worked the TNA iMPACT! tapings earlier this week as a guest broadcaster. He provided commentary during the match between Senshi and Christopher Daniels.

In 2006, Hermie Sadler retired from NASCAR and became an analyst for the sport. He’s been involved in wrestling (as a promoter and in-ring performer) in the past few years.

This move will confuse a lot of wrestling fans who have no understanding of business. Hiring Hermie Sadler was a public relations move designed to attempt to gain the attention of some of the national sports media outlet. If sports outlet such as ESPN or Sports Illustrated pick up on the story, then TNA will have accomplished its goal of gaining some exposure.
