TNA

UFC

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that TNA and UFC have reached an agreement on a marketing deal.

TNA will be involved in promoting the upcoming UFC fight featuring Brock Lesnar. The deal makes quite a bit of sense in that a lot of TNA’s fan base will be curious about seeing Brock Lesnar in a UFC match. That should help spark some additional pay per view buys for UFC.

No word yet on what TNA will be receiving from this deal. UFC might be hesitant to promote professional wrestling since they want to separate themselves from it. TNA could just be receiving cash for the deal.

Kind of interesting that UFC didn’t reach a deal with WWE. That would definitely give them a boost in pay per view buys, especially considering Brock Lesnar was a former WWE champion.

WWE isn’t the only one getting into the brush design for their merchandise. UFC is doing it as well. Can’t blame them. This is the current “in” thing when it comes to shirts now a days.

TNA Wrestling

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that TNA will be doing a house show in Dallas this upcoming Friday.

On January 11, 2008, TNA will be doing their first ever house show in Dallas, Texas.

Dallas, Texas is the home of Panda Energy, which is the company that has been financing TNA for the last few years. High ranking executives from Panda Energy are expected to be in attendance.

The following card has been announced for the show.

  • Booker T vs Christian Cage
  • Samoa Joe vs Robert Roode
  • Jay Lethal vs Kaz
  • James Storm vs Eric Young
  • Motor City Machine Guns vs Johnny Devine & Elix Skipper
  • LAX vs Jimmy Rave & Lance Hoyt
  • Jackie Moore vs Ms Brooks vs Awesome Kong

The general feeling is that everyone needs to step up on Friday night to impress all of the executives.

We’re not sure why AJ Styles and Kurt Angle aren’t booked for the show, but it would have been nice to have had them performing on the show. They’re two of the best overall performers in the business, and if TNA wants to impress, then these two have to be there.

Christopher Daniels would have been another good choice for a match here, but TNA is really pushing hard to sell the storyline where he has left the company.

TNA has had some of the best tag teams in recent memory. This DVD showcases most of them.

Christian Cage

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that TNA will be doing their first house show in Austin, Texas.

The show will be in Austin, Texas on January 10, 2008 at the Travis County Expo Center.

TNA has booked 10 live shows for the month of January. That’s more shows than they’ve ever done in a month.

Last year, TNA focused on getting an additional hour of television, and they accomplished that. They then set their sights on booking more live shows in 2008, and it looks like they’re off to a good start. The additional house shows should provide the wrestlers with some extra money.

With Booker T’s wrestling promotion in nearby Houston, Texas, don’t be too surprised to see a few of his wrestlers get booked for the show to help fill out the card.

Christy Hemme

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that TNA will be doing another taping for TNA iMPACT! on Tuesday night.

In order to allow the wrestlers and other personnel to have time off for the holidays, TNA has decided to film extra episodes of TNA iMPACT!. After tonight, the wrestlers should be done until the beginning of 2008.

Very nice gesture by TNA. Hopefully, one of the episodes will be a Christmas themed comedy episode similar to what they did for Thanksgiving.
