Michael Hayes

CM Punk

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Michael Hayes is now in charge of ECW.

With the recent firing of head writer Dave Lagana, the ECW creative department has made a few changes.

Dusty Rhodes is still the guy providing ideas. Ed Koskey has taken over the writing aspect of the show. Michael Hayes, who is also in charge of Smackdown, has taken over the direction of ECW.

There’s a good chance that the Gulf of Mexico match was booked by Dusty Rhodes. For a time there, Dusty Rhodes was the main booker for the NWA during the 80s. This idea goes along the lines of stuff that Dusty Rhodes has done in the past.

During that time, there was an independent wrestling match that featured former Midnight Express member Randy Rose. It too featured two wrestlers fighting in a body of water. The big difference, though, was that Randy Rose actually used a small boat, and he fought his opponent all the way to a small island. The match itself wasn’t booked by Dusty Rhodes, but he knew about it.

Mick Foley

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Mick Foley was involved in a major argument with Michael Hayes recently.

Mick Foley and Michael Hayes were both filming a segment for WWE 24/7 when the argument broke out. The topic at hand was the storyline where Vince McMahon supposedly died in a limo explosion.

Mick Foley has always been known as one of the most honest, sincere, and unbiased personalities in all of wrestling. If he likes something, he’ll tell you. If he doesn’t, you’ll hear it as well. It doesn’t matter if it involves WWE or not, he’ll remain unbiased. He’s not afraid to criticize WWE when needed. Well, one of the things that he looks down upon the most was the exploding limo storyline. He basically feels that it was tasteless and not necessary.

Michael Hayes, who is the head writer for Smackdown, has a reputation of being an outspoken corporate guy. He’s quite loyal to Vince McMahon and WWE. Despite the fact that he is one of the more creative minds in the business, there are many who feel that Michael Hayes is a bit of a “mark for the business”. Considering how he is a part of the creative team, it’s not a surprise that he would defend the storyline.

Despite the conversation being heated, we’re pretty sure that this isn’t something that’s going to last a long time. Both men are probably already over it by now.
