Kurt Angle

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that TNA iMPACT! hopes to equal Smackdown’s ratings within the next year.

In a recent interview, Kurt Angle revealed that the company’s goal is to have TNA iMPACT!’s ratings equal that of Smackdown within the next year.

As expected, a lot of fans are already bashing Kurt Angle and TNA for setting such lofty goals. However, no one gave TNA a chance at ever matching ECW’s ratings. People have also been predicting that TNA will be going out of business for each of the last 5 years they’ve been in existence.

It’s going to take a lot of work for TNA iMPACT! to reach that goal, but we’re not going to bet against them.

Kurt Angle

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Kurt Angle is scheduled for a match in February to unify the IWGP titles.

On February 17, 2008, Kurt Angle will put the IWGP 3rd Generation title against Shinsuke Nakamura’s IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

Shinsuke Nakamura, who has been in the business for 5 years, won the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on January 4, 2008 from Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Kurt Angle has been the IWGP 3rd Generation Champion since June 29, 2007. He defeated Brock Lesnar in Tokyo, Japan for the title.

There are those who criticize the IWGP 3rd Generation Championship because it’s not recognized by New Japan Pro Wrestling. However, the belt does have some credibility because it was created by the legendary Antonio Inoki, who also happened to be the founder of New Japan Pro Wrestling.
