John Cena FCW

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that FCW has secured a television deal.

FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling) has been picked up by Sun Sports. The first ever television taping for FCW will be this upcoming Thursday. The shows will be broadcast on television shortly thereafter.

This is good news for WWE as a television deal allows them to see how the developmental wrestlers do on a bigger medium. Having a television deal helped out OVW tremendously.

Also a smart move having the tapings be on Thursdays since they can send a few WWE wrestlers here and there to help out with television.

WWE stars do tapings on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. The rest of the time, they’re on the road doing house shows. Mid card wrestlers can be pulled from the house shows and sent down to FCW television.

Over the last few months, WWE has sent down wrestlers like John Cena and Rey Mysterio to give pep talks.

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that WWE will start giving out report cards to developmental wrestlers.

Wrestlers will be graded on various skills (interview skills, ring psychology, etc).

There is a belief that WWE will start releasing developmental wrestlers who have been down in the territories for a while and have yet to be called up.

Rob Terry

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Nick Nemeth has been given a new bodyguard, Rob Terry.

Both Nick Nemeth and Rob Terry are developmental wrestlers for WWE.

The two worked a dark match at the Smackdown tapings last week in Richmond, Virginia. Nick Nemeth was using a gimmick known as “The Natural”, and he received a good amount of heat.

Rob Terry played his bodyguard that night. Reports from people who were at the show claim that Rob Terry is bigger and more muscular than Chris Masters, which automatically causes people to start counting down the minutes on him. Rob Terry was given a developmental contract last year despite having no prior wrestling experience.

Ric Flair

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that WWE has signed Ric Flair’s youngest son, Reid Flair (real name: Reid Fliehr), to a developmental contract.

He is expected to start training down in Florida Championship Wrestling in January. Reid Flair is no stranger to being on TV as he has been used by WCW before in storylines involving his father.

Remember when Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair had that big dispute that led to Ric Flair being kept off of TV? Well, the dispute was over Ric Flair taking time off to go watch Reid Flair in an amateur wrestling tournament.

It’s also interesting to note that he’s being sent to Florida Championship Wrestling instead of OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling). WWE has been focusing more on the Florida territory than the Ohio territory as of late.

WWE

WWE has issued a press release informing the world that they have opened a new developmental territory (Florida Championship Wrestling).

From the surface, it doesn’t seem like big news to wrestling fans at all, especially considering how everyone has known about Florida Championship Wrestling for months now. Well, reports are surfacing that WWE issued the press release to send a message to the operators of Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Ohio Valley Wrestling has been the main WWE developmental territory for years now. Guys like John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton, and countless others have been trained there.

Recently, Shawn Michaels and Triple H were sent down there to evaluate the company. Word has it that they weren’t too pleased with how things were ran down there.

This could be a wake up call to OVW to improve their operations.
