John Cena No Comments

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that John Cena’s return was kept a secret from everyone backstage.
Everyone backstage at the Royal Rumble was shocked when John Cena made his surprising return last night. All day, John Cena was kept hidden from the other wrestlers and agents (with the exception of a handful of people).
The majority of people backstage thought that the Big Show would have been the 30th entry into the Royal Rumble.
WWE really went to great lengths to surprise wrestling fans. It worked.

John Cena Champ Is Here T-shirt
It’s inevitable now. John Cena is going to be the WWE Heavyweight Champion again at Wrestlemania. All of the past Royal Rumble winners have gone on to win the title at the big pay per view. So will John Cena. Randy Orton doesn’t stand a chance. |

Jeff Hardy No Comments

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Stephanie McMahon is against the Jeff Hardy push.
As usual, there are people on two different sides of things in management in regards to a wrestler’s push. Some are in favor of pushing Jeff Hardy and giving him the WWE Heavyweight Championship. Others are against it.
Michael Hayes has been said to be the most supportive of Jeff Hardy getting a push. In fact, he even believes that Jeff Hardy can be a credible WWE Heavyweight Champion. That’s not a surprise considering their long history together (Michael Hayes used to be the on screen manager for the Hardys).
Stephanie McMahon is said to be very much against the push. She doesn’t want to have to change up the plans that are already in place for Wrestlemania. Putting the belt on Jeff Hardy would change things up quite a bit.

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2008
Don’t know about you guys, but we were getting tired of constantly having to create Jeff Hardy in the Smackdown video games. So glad to see that he finally made it into the game. The CAWs just never looked perfect like we wanted them to. |

CM Punk No Comments

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that CM Punk has been added to the Royal Rumble.
At a house show on Saturday night, ECW GM Armando Estrada changed up the match between CM Punk and Chavo Guerrero. It was originally scheduled to be for the ECW Heavyweight Championship. However, the general manager changed it to a Royal Rumble qualifying match.
CM Punk got the win and will now enter the Royal Rumble.
As far as his chances are concerned, they’re pretty good. Unlike 20 of the contestants in the Royal Rumble, CM Punk actually has a chance to win and advance to Wrestlemania. Granted, the chances are a bit smaller than the likes of Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and Batista. However, if management decide to surprise the audience, then CM Punk would be a good choice.

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that WWE has officially listed 24 out of the 30 participants in the Royal Rumble tonight.
From Raw, you have Umaga, Hardcore Holly, Snitsky, Cody Rhodes, Santino Marella, Carlito, Shawn Michaels, Mr Kennedy, and Triple H.
From Smackdown, you have Hornswoggle, Batista, the Undertaker, Kane, Finlay, Jamie Noble, Mark Henry, Great Khali, and Chuck Palumbo.
From ECW, you have John Morrison, the Miz, Shelton Benjamin, Big Daddy V, and Tommy Dreamer.
Mick Foley, who isn’t a full time wrestler, is also scheduled for the event.
There’s a ton of speculations on who those 6 mystery wrestlers are going to be. WWE usually leaves a few slots open every year to surprise the fans.
Sometimes, they’ll bring in a comedic character from the 80s and 90s just for the cheap pop. Guys like the Honky Tonk Man and Doink the Clown are examples. Jerry Lawler is always a candidate to jump into the match. You also have long shot entrants like Beth Phoenix and the Big Show as well.
We understand that the comedic spots are done to entertain the audience, but from a realistic standpoint, it sucks to be the regular wrestlers who don’t qualify only to see a random person get selected.

Kevin Thorn No Comments

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Kevin Thorn could be on the verge of turning into a babyface.
Kevin Thorn has been working down in OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) for a while now under a new babyface gimmick. He recently changed up his gimmick on ECW, where he utilized less of the vampire gimmick and became more realistic.
No word yet on when he’ll debut the babyface gimmick in ECW, though. With ECW lacking in babyfaces, it should be easier for Kevin Thorn to move up the ladder.

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that ECW head writer Dave Lagana has been fired by WWE.
Wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes will take his place as the head writer. He had been working under Dave Lagana for quite a while now.
It’ll be interesting to see how Dusty Rhodes does as the head writer. He was heavily criticized when he was the head writer of the NWA.
Then again, every storyline in the company has to pass through Vince McMahon anyways. That means that fans probably won’t notice much of a change.

rhino No Comments

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Rhino is very close to making his return to TNA.
Rhino has been gone for a few weeks now with an injury. He had originally been scheduled to team with Abyss at Turning Point. However, the injury caused management to choose Raven as his replacement.
There were also reports that Rhino needed time off to tend to personal issues, but there was no confirmation.

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that management has been quite pleased with the reaction Chuck Palumbo has been getting as of late.
With his imminent heel turn, Chuck Palumbo has started getting reactions from the audience. That’s something management was hoping for when they decided to turn him into a heel. Using an attractive diva like Michelle McCool helped to get him over.
Prior to slowly turning heel, Chuck Palumbo was receiving absolutely nothing from the audience.

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Big Daddy V may be used as the “dominant big man” in the Royal Rumble this year.
The writers and agents usually use the middle section of the Royal Rumble each year to showcase one of the many big wrestlers. It’s a great match to make them look dominant. In the past, guys like Kevin Nash and Matt Morgan have benefited from such a push.
This year, the leading candidate for the push is Big Daddy V.
WWE knows that his momentum has been declining for the last few weeks. Giving him a monster push in the Royal Rumble would be a great way to get things going again.
He doesn’t appear to be a leading candidate to actually win the Royal Rumble, though.

Armageddon 2007 DVD

Wed 23 Jan 2008

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that Chris Jericho signed a contract to write another book.
After the success of his first book, A Lion’s Tale, it was almost a lock that Chris Jericho was going to be finishing up his life story in another book. A Lion’s Tale finished off right before Chris Jericho joined WWE, so that’s a good guess as to where the next book will start.
The book will be published Grand Central as opposed to Simon & Schuster (WWE’s publishing partner). That should mean that Chris Jericho will be allowed the same creative freedom as he had in the first book without having to worry too much about WWE interfering.
