Vince McMahon Wants More Interbrand Matches

Well, you can expect to see a lot more ECW and Smackdown stars on Monday Night Raw from now because Vince McMahon has demanded that his creative team book more interbrand matches.

Vince McMahon spends much of his days and nights trying to figure out ways to increase ratings for his television shows. His latest idea to boost ratings is to produce more matches on Raw between wrestlers on different brands.

This past week, we already saw Batista and Chris Jericho involved in a match.

What’s really interesting about this bit of news is that there’s been no talks about doing interbrand matches on Smackdown or ECW. The focus is to do these matches on Monday Night Raw. WWE has been criticized for being biased towards Raw quite a bit. Looks like Vince McMahon doesn’t care about the critics.

WWE Suspends William Regal

On Monday Night Raw, we saw a storyline where William Regal was “fired” after losing his match against Mr Kennedy. That surprised a lot of wrestling fans since William Regal was the hottest heel in the company.

On Tuesday morning, the wrestling world found out why that storyline happened. William Regal had been suspended by WWE for violating the company’s Wellness Program. Since this was his 2nd violation, he will be serving a 60 day suspension.

Absolutely horrible timing here for William Regal to be suspended. He was in the midst of the biggest push of his career. It’ll be interesting to see if WWE will give him another push when he returns.

Abyss’ Return Date Revealed

After months of being off television, Abyss is set to return to TNA at the Slammiversary pay per view.

TNA started airing vignettes of Abyss’ return on iMPACT! last week. They teased things by having him film the footage without his mask on; his long hair and the lighting effects helped to cover up his face.

There are talks that Abyss will be utilizing less of a hardcore style when he returns. The general belief is that he’s far too reliant on hardcore matches.

Personally, I believe in the “If it’s not broke, don’t break it” theory. Abyss is one of the best hardcore wrestler in mainstream television. If his body can handle the punishment, then management should just let him continue doing what he does best.

Kristal Marshall Pregnant

It has been revealed that former WWE diva Kristal Marshall is currently pregnant. Along with boyfriend Bobby Lashley, also a former WWE star, she is expecting her first child later on this year.

It’s been said that Bobby Lashley has been holding off on making any big career decisions until after the birth of his child. He doesn’t want to make a commitment that will prevent him from being with his girlfriend while she is pregnant.

Curry Man Not Unmasking Soon

There are currently no plans to bring Christopher Daniels back any time soon.

Right now, TNA is extremely happy with the Curry Man gimmick. He’s been getting a great reaction from the audience each week that he’s been on iMPACT! Plus, he’s a hit at the live shows.

This could end up being a blessing in disguise (pun fully intended) for Christopher Daniels. The longer he remains off of television (as that character, of course), the more special it will be when he finally does return.

Hardys DVD Tops Billboard List

Despite Jeff Hardy’s well publicized drug suspension and Matt Hardy’s lack of storyline since Backlash, the brand new Hardys DVD managed to rank first on the Billboard’s TV DVD Top Ten. It shows that very little is going to be able to lower the popularity of the brothers.

This DVD becomes the first WWE DVD to make it to the top of the list since the Bret Hart DVD achieved the honor in 2006.

Torrie Wilson Removed From WWE Website

A couple of days after she was released from the company, Torrie Wilson’s profile has been completely removed from the official WWE website. For a couple of days there, the website had simply removed the link on the main roster page but kept the profile up.

It’s kind of interesting that WWE always does things this way. Granted, it could be nothing. It could just be the web designers needing to back up the profile just in case they bring her back down the line.

Bret Hart Visits FCW

Legendary wrestler Bret Hart paid a surprise visit to the WWE developmental center down in Florida today.

Bret Hart was down in Florida visiting with a TNA wrestler when his niece, Smackdown star Natalya Neidhart, called him up and asked for a favor. She asked her famous uncle to stop by the developmental center to visit with the young wrestlers.

He agreed. While there, Bret Hart gave a very motivational speech to the guys down in Florida Championship Wrestling. The visit was said to be quite uplifting for the young wrestlers. It helped to boost the morale of the guys struggling to make it to the big leagues.

WWE Releases Balls Mahoney

After two years with the company, Balls Mahoney has been released by WWE.

The decision didn’t come as a shock to most wrestling fans as Balls Mahoney had been forgotten by the writers for quite a few months now. He was involved in a very successful storyline with Kelly Kelly for a few weeks. However, Vince McMahon decided to abruptly end the storyline because it wasn’t something that he wanted to so.

Now that he has been released, Balls Mahoney will more than likely start working shows for independent wrestling promotions again.

WrestlingRevealed.com has learned that there is some backstage resentment towards Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather’s pay for Wrestlemania has ruffled a few feathers. While it’s still not entirely certain that Floyd Mayweather is actually getting paid $20 million, he’s still getting a sizable amount of money from WWE. It’s enough money to lower the payout for the WWE roster.

We understand that spending money on Floyd Mayweather is spending money to market Wrestlemania. He better come through and deliver the goods. Otherwise, WWE would have just alienated their employees without much of a gain.
