Eddie Guerrero Bio Series - Los Guerreros
by Jack Windham

When I received the assignment to do a bio on Eddie Guerrero, I was ecstatic. I'm one of the biggest Eddie Guerrero fans in the world.
The hard part was deciding where to start.
Sometimes, the best way to learn about a man is to look at his roots. The Guerrero family has deep roots in the world of professional wrestling.
Like Father...
The Guerrero wrestling family began with Eddie Guerrero's father, Gory Guerrero.
In an interesting twist, he was actually born in the United States and later moved to Mexico.
When Gory Guerrero made the decision to start a career in the ring, he had originally planned on being a professional boxer.
Fortunately for the wrestling world, he decided to change things up and become a professional wrestler instead.
A lot of younger fans may not know of Gory Guerrero, but they've definitely heard about the "Gory Special". It was a move that he invented, and it's a move that is currently used by Chavo Guerrero.
...Like Sons
Gory Guerrero and Herlinda Llanes had 6 children. Four sons and two daughters. All four sons ended up becoming professional wrestlers.
The majority of their success was when the brothers worked together as a tag team or a 6 man tag team.
The eldest son is Chavo Guerrero Sr. A lot of younger fans will remember him as Chavo Classic, who was a manager for Chavo Guerrero Jr (currently on ECW).
Mando Guerrero worked mainly for the NWA promotion. He did spend some time in the AWA as a tag team with Chavo Guerrero.
During the mid 1980s, Mando Guerrero trained a young wrestler named Lisa Moretti, who would later go on to become a WWE diva named Ivory.
Recently, Mando Guerrero worked as a stunt double in Hollywood
TNA fans will recognize Hector Guerrero as the Spanish announcer, but most others will remember him for being a part of the one of the worst ideas Vince McMahon ever came up with.
Hector Guerrero was the Gobbledy Gooker. It was such an awful character that was it immediately removed and forgotten.
WWE did display a sense of humor by bringing the character back during the Wrestlemania X Seven battle royale.
Last, but certainly not least, was Eddie Guerrero.
Gory, Chavo, Mando, and Hector accomplished enough in wrestling to be hailed as a good wrestling family, but with Eddie Guerrero's contributions, they become a part of any debate.
