The belief is that it is simply a public relations move to avoid drawing negative attention from the media. Many feel that Gunn will be back as a trainer in a couple of months when the heat dies does. He is well liked by a lot of people in the company.

Management was forced to fire Gunn after finding out that he was taking performance enhancing drugs for his power lifting career that he was doing on the side. The front office stated that they had no idea he was even doing that.

After taking a spear outside the ring from Billy Gunn, Nash immediately grabbed his thighs, feigning an injury. The former world heavyweight champion revealed that he is just fine.

In the third match at Wrestlemania, Triple H defeated Sting by pin fall after hitting him with the end of a sledgehammer during a Stinger Splash attempt. The match thrilled the audience because Sean Waltman, Shawn Michaels, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg came out to help HHH, while Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall came out to help their former WCW cohort. In the end, though, Vince McMahon made sure WWE won the battle.
