Vince McMahon

Tough Enough cast

It appears that WWE has called in some heavy hitters to make up for the loss of Steve Austin on the next season of Tough Enough. Chris Jericho has finally been announced as the host. He will be joined by a panel consisting of Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan and Paige. Not only that, the trainers are going to be Booker T, Billy Gunn and Lita. There will be guest appearances made on the show by Vince McMahon, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and John Cena.

Kevin Nash torn quad

For more than a decade now, the internet wrestling community has repeated the same tired joke about Kevin Nash tearing his quad whenever his name is mentioned. So, to mock those particular fans, the WWE hall of fame performer decided to trick them last night. After taking a spear outside the ring from Billy Gunn, Nash immediately grabbed his thighs, feigning an injury. The former world heavyweight champion revealed that he is just fine.

Sting vs Triple H

In the third match at Wrestlemania, Triple H defeated Sting by pin fall after hitting him with the end of a sledgehammer during a Stinger Splash attempt. The match thrilled the audience because Sean Waltman, Shawn Michaels, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg came out to help HHH, while Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall came out to help their former WCW cohort. In the end, though, Vince McMahon made sure WWE won the battle.

Ascension vs New Age Outlaws

In the opening match of the Royal Rumble, Konnor and Viktor finally managed to get their first major victory since joining the main roster. After knocking Road Dogg out of the ring and delivering their tag team finisher to Billy Gunn, who looked extremely capable in the ring still, The Ascension picked up the pin fall victory over the New Age Outlaws. Management was hoping that the popular veterans could help provide the rub to the younger team.

Sean Waltman at Royal Rumble

Some minor rumors sprung up during the week that Sean Waltman was going to be one of the mystery entrants at the Royal Rumble tonight, and some of that might have been spurned by the fact that his former DX stablemates, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn, are working the show. However, Waltman is considered quite unlikely for the pay per view because he worked an independent wrestling show in North Carolina with Matt Hardy.

NAO vs Ascension

Since WWE officials really have no clue on what to do with The Ascension at the moment, there is a good chance that they might turn to some old favorites to help kick start things. As of right now, both Road Dogg and Billy Gunn are scheduled to make an appearance on Monday Night Raw, along with several other former stars. The New Age Outlaws might be sticking around, however, to work a quick program with Konnor and Viktor.
