When Bill DeMott was fired as the head trainer, Matt Bloom took over. WWE has been impressed thus far with what they have seen. However, his true evaluation will not come anytime soon. The current group of guys that have been elevated to the main roster, they are accredited to DeMott since he was in charge. Bloom's skills as a trainer will be determined by the next generation of NXT stars who get promoted to the main roster.

The former head trainer in WWE will most likely go with performers who have publicly and privately backed him up against the abuse allegations. The company cited his years of experience in the business as a major asset for developmental.

Thus far, there has been very little negative things being said about Matt Bloom since he has taken over at the head trainer in NXT. While some of that might be because a lot of people disliked Bill DeMott and his ways, the main reason is that Bloom is simply doing a good job. Word coming out of the company is that he is firm but fair with the developmental wrestlers. He also has a good degree of knowing about working in the ring.
