In a match that was better scripted than the Royal Rumble, Big Show won the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal in the second and final match of the Wrestlemania kickoff show. Lots of excellent spots. Damien Sandow finally turned on Miz, but he was unable to overcome the Big Show to win the entire thing. Sandow was booked strong, but the audience was clearly disappointed when he was the last man eliminated.

In the main event of the Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns stood supreme as the sole survivor. He eliminated Big Show and Kane, who ended up arguing with one another and brawling after an misunderstanding, simultaneously before finishing things off by getting rid of Rusev. WWE enlisted the help of The Rock to help put Reigns and the moment over. Fans were visibly angry at the results and expressed their disdain throughout the match.

Even if he is not the one to win the big battle royal, WWE still has plans on using the Royal Rumble as a platform to elevate Roman Reigns even higher. One of the ideas being discussed right now and a big reason why he was thrown into a feud with the Big Show is that Reigns will be the one to eliminate his rival by doing something that is a spectacular feat of physical prowess. The hope is that the segment will win over even more fans for Reigns.
