During a podcast interview with Chris Jericho, Big E Langston revealed that CM Punk saved his career with WWE. Langston was worried that he was going to be sent back down to NXT, but Punk went to management and specifically asked to work with him. The two of them had no previous allegiance backstage, so this was simply a case of Punk wanting to him a coworker out.

Those that watched Battleground last night got to see a good amount of apron moves, including a particularly impressive splash by Big E Langston during the tag team championship match. Apparently, WWE has been instructing their performers to do more of that. While more details are not available yet, there is a belief that it has something to do with ROH.

Since the company was doing a live event in Massachusetts, Big E Langston decided to generate some heel heat for himself by taking a jab at Tom Brady, the New England Patriots quarterback who is now widely known as the guy that has cheated his way to Super Bowl victories and Hall of Fame numbers. It worked pretty well because the audience went nuts. WWE knows that they can always generate a reaction with this method.

WWE feels that they might have found a centerpiece for their tag team division in New Day. The trio produces nice combinations. Xavier Woods, who almost received a release while working in developmental, is considered the strongest talker in the group. Management has long loved the athletic style that Kofi Kingston utilizes. Big E Langston has the size and look that the front office has long preferred in their performers.

In a sign that fans can actually help to dictate the product, rumors are floating around that WWE changed up their plans for the tag team division because of the chants that New Day were getting. Management originally was going to give the Lucha Dragons a shot at the belt at Extreme Rules. However, the switch was made to Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston, who are likely to win. Kalisto and Sin Cara would then challenge Kingston and Langston.

As some of you already know, plans change pretty often backstage in WWE. Originally, Kalisto and Sin Cara were supposed to challenge Tyson Kidd and Antonio Cesaro for the tag team championship at Extreme Rules. However, management opted to change things up by giving the match to Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston instead, even though the Lucha Dragons received really nice ovations from the live events during the Europe tour.

Some good news if you're a fan of the New Day. Since management could not get them over as baby faces, the plan now is to turn them into heel. As seen on Monday Night Raw, Xavier Woods and Big E Langston were a lot more aggressive in the ring than normal. They came close to cheating on a couple of occasions. The losses and boos will eventually cause them to go evil. This would mark the first heel turn for Kofi Kingston since joining WWE.

Wrestlemania is basically considered the end of the season for WWE, so the front office likes to bring up some fresh faces from NXT to replenish the roster after the big pay per view. Speculations are already surfacing. A potential name on the chopping block is Big E Langston. He is an underrated performer, but management has already placed the glass ceiling over him, it seems. Not even a recommendation from John Cena was enough to help give him a push.
