When Michelle McCool went in for wrist surgery last month, there were speculations that she was healing up for another run with WWE. However, that does not appear to be the case. No such return is currently being planned right now, as she is spending time with her baby daughter.
While details have yet to emerge from backstage, it does appear that the story line between Dixie Carter and the new baby face investory will be a focal point on Impact Wrestling for much of 2014. Some are even saying that it will stretch to Bound For Glory, which is taking place in October.
While there are still plans by WWE to push him, Big E Langston has essentially been neglected by the creative department over the last couple of weeks because the writers simply have not come up with anything for his character to do with Mark Henry being off television.
The hot rumor this week is that WWE will be unifying the United States and Intercontinental belts at the Elimination Chamber pay per view. Dean Ambrose, who has not done much with the title, will most likely work a match with Big E Langston at the show.
While it seems all but certain that Roman Reigns will be receiving a big push during the Royal Rumble match, there are many that believe that WWE will do the same for Big E Langston as well. The company wants him to look like a big star.
Since WWE wants to save his big match against Mark Henry for Wrestlemania 30, it appears that the creative department will be setting up lower level and mid card performers as challengers for Big E Langston and the Intercontinental Championship.
