Bobby Lashley is getting a chance to avenge a previous loss in MMA. Bellator has revealed that he is going to be facing James Thompson in a rematch on June 19. The event will take place in St Louis. Since that is only two months away, you can expect Lashley to scale back his commitment to TNA, so that he can start training full time. Fortunately for him, the front office is very supportive of his mixed martial arts career.

WWE signs Brock Lesnar

Sometimes in life, you just get a deal on the table that is simply too difficult to refuse. Brock Lesnar was given just that by WWE, so he decided to sign on the dotted line instead of waiting to negotiate a contract with UFC and Bellator. The former world heavyweight champion announced on ESPN that his days in MMA are behind him now. His legacy in that sport is completed. He will finish off his career as a professional wrestler now.

Bellator signs Bobby Lashley

It looks like Bobby Lashley will continue to have multiple avenues of income for at least another year. News coming out of Bellator is that a new contract has been reached. The promotion has been pretty pleased with the results that Lashley has been producing. He has fought twice for them and won both match. In terms of his career, the former world heavyweight champion has won 10 of 12 matches due to stoppage.

WWE signing Lesnar

As expected, WWE is pushing hard for Brock Lesnar to sign a contract extension before his current deal expires. Management definitely does not want him to hit free agency because that means that a major bidding war will take place. UFC and Bellator are already said to be interested in bringing the former world heavyweight champion back into the world of mixed martial arts. Vince McMahon really wants his champion under a new contract before Wrestlemania.

Del Rio to Bellator

During a recent interview, Alberto Del Rio stated that he was perfectly fine with remaining in professional wrestling, but he left the door open for MMA if a good deal was on the table. Apparently, a good deal is now on the table. Reports have surfaced that Del Rio is quite close to signing a contract with Bellator for at least one fight. The former world heavyweight champion is also said to be negotiating with other promotions as well.

Since he seems a bit more focused on his professional wrestling career as of late, there have been rumors about Bobby Lashley quitting his MMA career. That simply is not the case. The world heavyweight champion a radio host in England that his intention is to continue fighting, and a new contract with Bellator is being discussed. Lashley also stated that he wants to make sure that he can still continue working for TNA as well.

When word broke out that Bobby Lashley had suffered some sort of injury, the specifics were not immediately revealed. Fans only knew that it was bad enough for him to be forced to cancel a fight with Bellator but not bad enough that he would miss time from TNA events. Reports have now surfaced that the injury involves his hands. While doing MMA training, it would swell up considerably whenever he attempted to grapple or punch.

During a recent podcast interview with Pro Wrestling Illustrated, the former world heavyweight champion stated that the move was highly unlikely, as he is pleased with the money that he is making in professional wrestling at the moment. He does not completely rule out mixed martial arts, however.

The only thing we know is that it is bad enough to where he had to pull out of a scheduled MMA fight with Bellator, but it is not painful enough to pull him off the road as a professional wrestler. In fact, Lashley is scheduled for the upcoming tour of England still.

He received a reminder of that recently when he suffered some sort of injury during the recent taping of Impact Wrestling. The wound was bad enough that the former world heavyweight champion had to pull out of his scheduled fight against James Thompson at Bellator 134.
