With CM Punk leaving WWE due to unhappiness, a lot of eyes have now focused on Alberto Del Rio, who has openly talked about leaving the company whenever he is upset with the way that his character is being utilized. The belief is that he is unhappy about being fed to Batista.
While he was originally scheduled to work a high profile match against the Undertaker at the event, there are those backstage within WWE that are pushing for Brock Lesnar to be moved into a program with Batista at Wrestlemania 30 instead.
When Batista made his return on Monday Night Raw, WWE officials were said to be rather upset with the lackluster reaction from the audience. However, management then saw the television ratings for the segment and placed the blame on the Dayton crowd instead.
While it has now been confirmed that a two year deal was signed, Batista is not really considered a full time worker for WWE. His main priority is still acting, and management will let him leave to do things related to movies whenever he needs to.
While wrestling fans view it as one of the highest priorities, WWE does not share the same sentiment when it comes to signing Sting. The company definitely would like to bring him on board, but they do not view this as big of a deal as they did with Batista, Brock Lesnar, Rock and Hulk Hogan.
