Rock at the Oscars

Now that he is a huge star, Hollywood is constantly seeking out The Rock to make various appearances. The producers of the Oscars want a piece of the action as well, so they decided to contact the former WWE Heavyweight Champion and convince him to be a presenter of an award during the show. Since it is good for his public profile, Rock agreed to do it. Eva Marie is also scheduled for the event, but there is no word on what her involvement will be.

Jim Neidhart induction

While he is extremely unlikely to be announced as a part of the class this year, Natalya hopes that WWE ends up inducting her father into the hall of fame someday. While it would be simple to have Hogan doing it, there are talks that Lanny Poffo could be flown in for the weekend to do that part.

Brock Lesnar wins Wrestler of the Year

In a rather controversial move, Pro Wrestling Illustrated has revealed who they have chosen to as the Wrestler of the Year. Despite only working a handful of matches, Brock Lesnar was given the highly regarded honor. For quite some time now, many within the internet wrestling community have long harbored resentment towards the former UFC champion because he only works a part time schedule. This award might not sit too well with them.

Reigns compared to Rock

During the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, the injured Roman Reigns made a surprising appearance to accept a Slammy award. Fans noted that the usually robotic speaker was a lot more comfortable with his speech. Jim Ross, who has a pretty good track record of spotting and signing talent for WWE, noticed as well. The legendary commentator posted on social media that he felt that Reigns showed some subtle mannerisms that are similar to his cousin The Rock.
