WWE Legends of Wrestlemania

WWE will be releasing a 2nd video game per year called WWE Legends of Wrestlemania.

THQ, JAKKS Pacific, and WWE announced that they are developing a 2nd wrestling game title.

WWE Legends of Wrestlemania is scheduled to be released in 2009 around the same time as Wrestlemania 25.

It is believed that the new video game will be quite similar to the Smackdown vs Raw video game series.

The big difference, though, will be that the roster will contain a lot more legendary wrestlers.

Rumored Roster

You can expect to see a lot of the legends that were used in previous Smackdown vs Raw video games to be included in WWE Legends of Wrestlemania.

Roddy Piper and Mick Foley have been in just about every version of the video game, so you can bet that they'll be included in the new game.

The Rock, Steve Austin, Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan are all popular characters from previous games, so there's a very high chance of them being included as well.

Eddie Guerrero is a sentimental favorite and a certified legend. It'd be a shame if he wasn't included in the game.

It'd also be nice to see Andre the Giant, Ted DiBiase, Curt Hennig, Jimmy Snuka, and Jake Roberts in the game aswell.

If WWE can somehow manage to make peace with Randy Savage and the Ultimate Warrior long enough to get them to sign on for this video game, then the hype behind the game is going to be incredible.

Not sure how far back WWE wants to go, but if would be cool to be able to play with the likes of Bob Backlund, Bruno Sammartino, and Pedro Morales as well.

Today's Legend

WWE will more than likely stick a few of the current active wrestlers into the game as well to make it more marketable.

Guys like Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and the Undertaker should definitely be in the game.

Kane has a good chance. So does John Cena.

I know a lot of people are going to complain about John Cena being in the game, but think of it this way, you get to beat him up with a ton of legendary wrestlers.

Another controversial character that could be included is Vince McMahon himself. It's hard to imagine the game without him being in there.

Closing Thoughts

Between this new game, the TNA iMPACT! video game, and the Smackdown vs Raw series, us wrestling gamers are going to be mighty busy.
